So wait how many are beds are we trying to fill? 16 or 14?
in other words how many do we have left?
couple of my friends are thinking of coming maybe to auckgeddon... not that I've told them of this idea yet xD

The dorms are 8, 6 or 4 bed, from the discussions I've had with Amy up there so far it sounds like they can accommodate any mix of sizes, but ideally we want to try and keep to a full room.

Her suggestion was to over book it when the bookings done (which requires a 20% deposit) and then confirm the exact numbers at least a week out from the checkin date. That way they can allocate rooms on the same level rather than trying to get everyone on the same level at the last minute.

So um, yeah, the more the merrier I guess. :)

I just added up the costs of everything, and it's going to be $200 at the least x_x

Waaaah. Have to book everything this week.
And get onto finishing my costume.
But I must study! I am torn >_<

Ok, we're really going to need to start cracking down on this soon. So now that CCPC is over we can can focus on getting this idea sorted out. Since we're getting closer and closer to Auckgeddon (seriously, it's like 2 months away now) We're now going to have a deadline for the backpackers signup.

I'm going to say, you have until 12 September to sign up and then we'll make the booking then. I will post this deadline on the first post for others to see. Does that deadline seem ok with you jp?

Yeah, that sounds fine. Once we actually place the booking we need to put down the 20%, so we'll have to decide at what point we grab money off people.

The suggestion was made to over book it which'll mean covering the 20% for the extra rooms, but we can cancel rooms off to the correct numbers a bit closer to the time. Either way if someone definitely wants the room they're gonna have to put money in for it when we put the group booking through, after that it's going to be a juggling act.

i'm going to try and cut down the amount of nights i'm staying there because $117 is a lot of money... so i'll probably be dropping out some of the weekend days. i'm going to have to figure it out though, will keep you updated.

OK, time for people to get serious on their days. Also we need to confirm if the days people have stated are check in, and check out days. ie: are you staying that last day, or not?

List as follows so far:

Need people to confirm their check in, and check out date, aswell as how many nights. Then we can start getting things underway. Not forgetting we'd like confirmations by the 12th which is 6 weeks from date of checkin. This is the time frame the ACB has requested for group bookings, so please don't wait till the last minute otherwise you may find yourself with nowhere to stay.

Edit: PS: Willuknight, you asked about a private room, I'll need to confirm things with them, but are you looking at a single or a double, plus what days. I'll see if the discount applies or not. Also room only, or en suite?

Are only going to be staying monday night.
That's a definite.

Is it going to be all good if we hang out in the room with everyone else after the con though? We don't want to be losers and bum around town with no one else to hang with.
