Sony Vegas is randomly crashing on me X.x
Not nice when I'm already rushing to finish this.
I dunno if I will with like 50 seconds more to go, argh all nighters for me. At least it's the less complicated bits.

I am looking forward to seeing everyones final results.

Arrggggggg I was masking away being all happy and getting into the swing of things and my computer switched off sad

and the save file went bye bye. Crud Monkeys

Oh well might change what I am doing and make it easier on myself....cos I am cheap.

Lol I'm still rushing to finish by tonight, sneaking time again =D though my ending is almost finished then I gotta work back to the middle >< though most of that should be easy.

I finally finished my main AMV (The one I wanted to get finished) had it looking all nice (after giving up in some extra bits XD ) and I find out that I CAN'T RENDER/EXPORT IT! What the heck is up with Premier Pro CS4 and it stupid new exporting system......

Everytime I try to export it says it can't find the files *sigh* I found a way around it but it is so frustrating....have to create a new sequence, put everything in there, then move that sequence ove rto After Effects and Render it in that......but something went wrong with the size so now I have to fiddle around untill I get it right.

Blah.....at least I have a week to get it on a dvd XD (better than my usual 4 days before it is due)

I started working on a new AMV on thursday.....I am challanging myself to finish it but tuesday so I can enter it as well......everyone is going to notice it's rushed but meh :3

Rendering is not fun, my vegas crashes on me with no error message stops and a number of other annoying things
Have to render it in tiny little pieces
Then put them together and render full quality and shiz XD

Use Virtual Dub to join the pieces together to avoid re-rendering. If the exports are timed right it will be easy to append the segments together then save to a continuous file. Virtual dub can trim the pieces to allow joining too.
Or use a lossless codec then re-rendering is not so much and issue.

i'm probably gonna have to do my video editing on my mom's laptop or her computer rather than MINE - cause it's hell just making slideshows on my pc xX;; maybe i'll get that old 512 stick shoved back in my laptop if i'm not doing bad things to it lol

Holy Crud.....

I actually finished my second AMV O_o It was a spur of the moment thing I started when I heard the song I used.......only spent a couple of days on it and I think it looks alright.....not fantastic but not crappy XD

I shall be sending my dvd's off by friday.

Entered an Avatar (Zuko/Iroh... yep, no shipping from me) AMV into the Auckgeddon comp this year. Hopefully it got there this time, I originally sent it in for CHCH but they didn't get it on time (despite the track and trace thing saying otherwise). Gave me heaps of time to work things out as originally the ending was quite rushed, it's so much better now. Yaey.

Fleyer; Vegas did the exact same thing to me untold times. Once it did it one time it would keep doing it until I restarted the computer. It was helllll. Especially when other times the sound wouldn't work when I restarted it. I think my record restarts in one day was about 30. Yep... In a six or so hour period. I only got about 10 seconds of the vid done that day :[ I don't know what it is that does it, I couldn't find anything online because of the no-error-message thing. Eventually it sorted itself out, though, and for the last couple of weeks it hasn't happened since.

Also noticed mad interlacing when rendering it to PAL DVD... Didn't realise it was the field order for the longest time. Wasted so much time fiddling around with random stuff (don't have the 'net at home... yes, really... so I couldn't check) before it came to that. Ffff.

Can't wait to see everyone's AMVs at 'Geddon... Good luck y'all.

I totally just figured out what song I'm using for next year. 'I Will Not Bow' by Breaking Benjamin. (<333)

Now I just need to decide on footage... Dx I'm leaning towards Metal Gear Solid 2 and 4 with a focus on Raiden, at present.

I have a question for other AMV geeks: If you thought of a really awesome song/show combination and plan it but then see it's already up on the webs, what would you do? If you think you could do it better, would you still do it?

Gah. I won't say the combo I had in mind because that's mean, but I'm kinda heartbroken! >.< And I just found another one to a different combo I wanted to do. Wow.

Other upcoming video ideas:
Wolverine and the X-Men- Land of Confusion (Disturbed). Lol, yeah yeah, I know. Looks like this is the next one I'll be doing as the other two are out of the question while I think over the situation D:

I tend not to look until after I have made the AMV.
But if I think my version is better than sure I would put it up.

The problem if you have watched someone elses of the same combo then it is to easy to steal some of their ideas for the places that you can't think of anything yourself.

^ I watched about the first ten seconds of both and then clicked out. That's what I was worried about, subconsciously taking ideas from theirs and putting it into mine. I really don't want that to happen, if I do decide to go ahead with either >:[

I saw enough to know that... neither were... great (not that I'm saying mine would be, luls, just... edited better and actually keeping to a theme O_O). Ugh.
