CCC Announcement: Age Limit

And with that I think I'll lock the thread. If anyone is dying to have their say and has something new to bring to the table, I'll probably unlock it for you, but I don't want this to turn into HE SAID SHE SAID etc. There have been opinions from both sides which I hope you can all respect. If we decide to make any amendments to this, we'll let you know.

This club has introduced Age discrimiation. This is a sad event as you can join pretty well almost any other club and don't discrimate over age. Anyway looks like the events are disigned for almost kids anyway. This club has now insulted anyone over 30 and a big slap in the face. What other club behaves like this, none.

You can go to dancing group gyms, almost any other groups, clubs and no age discrimiation. Just a pity we live in an untrusting society and older people are discrimated all the time, and now this club has implmented age discrimation. I urge all those who are over 30 pull out of this group and cosplay forum and form our own. What a pity it could come to this and a very sad day for those older people who also love cosplay. It should be about a common interest not age discrimiation.

Seems the solution to this rule is lock it out, never let the older members defend themselves or even let those who are young who may accually like older members in the club. What an insult to older members, and would hope older members run from the CCC, say stuff you and form a club and forum that accpets any age, ,and recognises Cosplay is for young and old and nothing to do with age, but premote a common interest in Cosplay. Afterall set age is not a good look anyone who looks at the CCC club with age limits will look at this as nothing but kids events and for kids, run by kids. How can you seriously premote Cosplay as a hobby and serious when everyone just sees members are teens.
People will get the wrong impression about cosplay and not seeing older members will be seen as something only kids do, or teens do, so won't be taken as a serious interest and hobby.

Afterall the CCC was formed for the premotion and enjoyment of Cosplaying, but has now lost the plot by introducing age discrimiation and not premoting Cosplay as a hobby.

Denodan, this is an official warning; you have ignored the moderators of this forum three times after we have closed this subject, and your lack of respect for our staff is a violation of the forum rules. This is your first warning; please ensure that you keep it that way.

This topic has been up for discussion, and I can sympathise that you want to broadcast your opinion - however, you have missed the boat as we closed the topic because it was only going in circles.

Case in point - all of the points you have brought up were already covered in the original thread, which I have asked you to read and you have clearly ignored.

'No clubs have age limits' - Incorrect, and covered in the original thread.
'Looks like the events are designed for kids' - Yes, they are. That's why an age limit has been introduced. Also covered in the original thread.
'Pull out of this forum and start our own' - firstly, (as covered in the original thread) CNZ ≠ CCC, and we will not be putting any age limitations on these forums. Those over 30 are welcome on these forums (as said in the original thread), and are welcome to non-official CCC events (as said in the original thread) so those who are 30+ are missing out on one event per month, and if they are really desperate to attend, can PM the organiser to ask permission (as said in the original thread).

Secondly: If you'd read the original thread, you'd have read that someone has indeed started an 18+ cosplay forum, and the link can be found in the original thread.

If you still need further clarification, please PM a CCC-mod as said in the original thread and as I have asked you the first time I warned you.

I will be issuing you with another official warning if you yet again choose to ignore our moderation staff and create another thread on this topic.
