Today I:

- Re-polyfilla'd my snake belt, sanded it and both pieces of foot armour, and primed all three pieces.
- Finished my mockup of Claire's tutu-thing, and found the silk I thought I'd lost!
- Started an urgent commission and pushed it through to 90% - it is (I beleieve) a "bedroom" cosplay...think super-skanky seifuku. XP The skirt is friggin' tearaway - I feel so accomplished!

heh thanks guys!
The hat was really easy, suprisingly, (compared to the rest of the costume..) I had to redo the zig-zag a few times though ><
still need to make the shorts, fix the top, add feather boa thing to jacket collar and find cheap boots and make them thigh-high purple boots with curls !! :DD exciting!

I have the physical tokens of appreciation for the contest winners ;) Well most of them. Just need to organise a method of personalising them.

Also bought a wig today for a group cosplay and some more brushes and tools. And some expensive toner/cleanser ;) Vital for Geddon weekends.

They are just the tokens :) But hopefully the personalisation of them will make them a bit more :) I haven't gone close to the full budget allowed for them so fingers crossed the plans will all work out :)

Personal progress:

Making space to actually get progress happening.
Please note the five 60L containers of historic cosuming "current" projects (plus a green bag plus a hidden box for a ream of paper) and the 5 ditto for "current" media related costumes plus two 20L plus extra baggies in the second photo.
In the first photo the far corner is full of old costumes to sell and give away as well as bits and pieces to farm out to people who need enough blue wool to make a doublet or school skirt ;)
The red cube boxes in that pic are my doll projects :) I should get back into them- one of a kind polymer clay dolls.

I've been making horns this morning~
I figure I would make the base of them out of wire so here they are before I've paper mached them ^_^;

here is my template I drew just 2D lol

MORE PROGRESS!!!!
here is the smaller pair of the 2 sets of wings~
I cut out the cardboard and shaped it a bit, then hand sewed in some wire to help it sit up properly (then I found out the wire was to flimsy so I had to use the good old no 8 wire lol)

Here is the first of 2 that is covered. I've been hand sewing it into it cover for the last HOUR! ~~and now I get to do it all over again for the other one~~

Quite happy with those wings~ though I might re-stitch the fabric so it sits better ^_^

I bought a 3m roll of blue pvc tape less than two hours ago and I just used it up in about seven minutes. And I don't have any more.

Conclusion - not as tall as Genesis' Rapier and definitely not as tall as Aerith's Princess Guard, but still long enough to make it somewhat unwieldy. Man, you need skill to manoeuvre with that dagger-end.

Meanwhile, remember this? Well, this is what's left of it. I used all that in less than a day or two. /facepalm

I MADE A PATTERN FOR MY COSPLAY!!! huge progress for me coz I don't make patterns from scratch ^_^;
so come tomorrow I shall be getting out the scrap fabric and making sure it works!
