I'm never one for close up screenshots (more for wide enviroment shots- you can see more!), but Hawke's default design looks cool. The armour is pretty badass.

Edit: Ooh, and a rough timeline of events in Thedas has been released. Short, but informative!

The armour does look cool, I'm glad these are just aplha screens because the rendering on the enviroment and darkspawn is terrible.

Well.. at least our hexagonal heads will look good when the game comes out, and Darkspawn never looked that pretty so I guess if their texturing isn't too good we won't really notice.

Concerning the new direction they're taking DA2 I have almost kinda warmed up to the idea of the new gameplay and how the story will unfold. If they take it in the same direction as ME2 that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The way the stories of your team mates was told during ME2 was far more intersting than how it was handled in DA:O. Maybe it was the writing/dialogue but I felt more of a connection with the ME2 characters than any of the DA characters.

Same, here. Even the characters that weren't in the first game. It seems strange, because of the huge amount of dialogue every single party member in DA:O had (well, okay, except Sten... or Barkspawn). It could be better writing- or it could just be because you got directly involved in their lives, meddling in their affairs and stuff.

All you guys talking about other Bioware games really make me want to play them! I was obsessed with Kotor, but I lost my gaming computer, and haven't played it since sad

Saving up for a new one though (want to try Old Republic when it comes out next year).

Yeah, I find it's easier and less boring to skip entire conversations with pretty much everyone, NPCs included. Except for Alistair. That man is a goldmine of insanity.

Wow, that trailer was so much better than the first DA:O trailer. SO MUCH BETTER.

I love the Qunari redesign, fits better with how the Ogres look (unless that's a new ogre... in which case; also cool). And default Hawke is looking pretty sweet.

It's nowhere near as bad this time, I thought it fit reasonably well (at least compared to 'This is The New sugar honey iced tea'- which made me cringe every time I heard it).
