ohh Old Republic! That should be good, I hope it's good at least...

KOTOR/2 were amazing! I liked Bastila in the first one.. and Karth, he was awesome

I can't remember the name of the guy I liked in the second though.. >_>

I remember in KOTOR, the Assassin Droid was so funny.
Oh and I liked the whole advancement through bith the Jedi and
the Sith school, as you got to learn more about each side.

I wanna see more Mandolorians though!

P.S> I also saw the multiplayer game footage for The Old Republic- I was not that impressed. Team strategy seemed to be the usual Tank/Healer/Crowd Control/Sniper business, and totally dependent on forming teams with other online players. Loved the cinematic trailers, but think I might give this a miss.

Would rather see Mass Effect 2 Multiplayer. But with squad basis, so you could always have two NPCs with you, that you could manage.

Slight change of topic- those who've played ME2, who were your preferred wingmen, and who were your worst?

My faves were Grunt (loved it when he charged enemies, shouting "I am Krogan"!) and Garrus, although when Legion came, I used him instead of Garrus.
My worst included Tali (grrrr... the amount of Medigel I wasted on her, seriously, since when does the Engineer charge into battle head first, without considering cover- I thought they were smarter than that!) and Miranda (always making some comment about Cerberus, okay, you're a Loyalist, I get that).

Oh and did you know that Neimhaille recently cosplayed Samara's daughter?

I guess it was silly to hope it would be different from other MMOs. After the KotOR games I had such high hopessss.

On squad: In ME1 I was an infiltrator (tech/soldier... in other words, a sniper 8D) and used Garrus and Liara the most, to even my team out. Sometimes swapped it for Wrex and Tali.

When I did the infiltrator run on ME2 I used Garrus and Samara or Jack. With vanguard (soldier/biotics) I usually used Tali or Mordin and... Garrus! Ohohoho.

I love me some Garrus.

I didn't like using Miranda or... whatshisface, Jacob? The human guy. Both were pretty boring characters.

I saw Neimhalle's stuff. It's so awesome, gahhhfgjfgjn. I fangirled.

Bioware just announced Draon Age 2! Yaaay. There isn't much on the page, but the forums are open if you want to take a look :3

Edited to add: From what I've read so far, it looks like the choose-your-origin thing will be gone. You'll be playing as a human character named Hawke (male or female, I guess- like ME). It will be a voiced character and your background will largely be set, though I imagine you'll have a different text or cutscene backstory depending on what class you pick.

There's just the one out, this being Dragon Age: Origins. It's multi-console too. If you have the PC to run it I recommend the PC version, but if you have either ps3 or 360 there's only a slight difference in graphics with the ps3 being slightly superior.

There's also a hefty amount of DLC that is fairly good too.

Gotta say though, what I'm reading right now on the bioware forums isn't exactly making that elated about the game. Pre-determined background, have to be human, dude's name is Hawke, amassing dangerous allies. Looks like ME3 is actually Dragon Effect: Mass Dragoning With A Reckoning 2.

I'm trying not to nerd rage so hard but they're not making it easy! Although, like every other game I have loved I am going to wait until more information is released and wait for some gameplay footage until I have a true nerd rage.

Thoughts, opinions, nerd rages?

Whoa, what? I totally posted something before. Fffff.

Tim; yeah, there's just the one core game. Awakenings is the big expansion with almost twenty hours of gameplay. You can buy it and play it on its own, but it's nowhere near as involved as the original campaign.

I'm not really sure how I feel about DA2 right now. I liked being able to play an elf or a dwarf if I wanted. I liked the different origins and backstories you could have. I hope this doesn't boil down to the Renegade/Paragon thing. That's fine for Mass Effect, where you're playing an established character, but one of the best thing about DA:O was all the choices in the dialogue trees! sad

If they make it as huge a game as the first (unlikely, if they're doing full voice overs for the PC), there is no way they could have as many different options as they did in the game... There was often six or seven for each 'branch' of conversation. Imagine the time it would take to record all that! Neutral

I like Tali, but the MAI WAIFU stuff is a pain in the neck. Tali has some rabid fanboys. Also it's totally not Tali vs Miranda. Not too many people like Miranda. It's Tali vs Jack, as far as the OMGROMANCE! wars go.

Loved using Samara for the awesome biotics and Grunt, Freezing an enemy with Cyro ammo then watching grunt smash them always manages to make me smile

Worst: Miranda and Jacob nothing really special about them or really interesting about them

I played 95% of Dragon Age on normal... then had to turn it down for the Revenants. GAH, THEY WERE SO HARD FOR MOST OF THE GAME. Then I read up about misdirection hex, and could actually beat them (barely).

Every now and then I'd encounter a random darkspawn hoard that just absolutely wasted my crew as well. Wthell?

Awakenings I breezed through on normal. Or at least, I think it was normal... I'm assuming that's the default setting, and that it has more than one difficulty.

Oh and look, moar stuff about DA2!

^UGh the Revenants are so annoying only way i can kill them is freezing them with cone of cold and getting a lucky Critical and shattering it Other wise it decimates my whole team in a few seconds

Quite disappointed that you can't choose your race in D.A 2

Revenants, ugh.

Back when I first played DA on PS3 last year I couldn't lay a finger on them before they would totally desimate my party. At the time I was maining a dwarf rouge that specialized in dual wielding and I didn't much like switching over to my other party members.

Fast foward to playing it on the 360 and I'm the one desimating them. With my mage I cone of cold them and then let Sten, Sir Barkens and Leilana crit them up whilst I cast various magicks on them.

The only time I've had to go from normal to casual/easy is the spider fight in the Ortan Thaig. Holy craaaaaaaaaaaaaap is that fight super hard with the queen spider.

And just so's I don't get on the double posting, how about some DA2 alpha screens!
