| So far beaten Tidus, Zidane and Cloud's stories. Cloud's is pretty much the same-old same-old IMO, but Tidus' builds more on the father-son relationship issues from X, and Zidane's has one of the most laugh-out-loud moments in one of his cutscenes.
Currently playing through Cecil's story because he's supposed to be easy. Then it's a toss-up between Firion and Squall.
This game is stupidly fun. |

| Wait, what! They pushed it back!?! D: Man, it's not like it even needs to be region coded or anything, all they need is to rate it and these days they pay professional gamers to play-through with the rater so... gah! XO I'm sorry, guys!
I'm sure when you get it you'll be quick enough to beat it well before me, though, I grind my games like crazy.
Just finished Cecil's story today, started Firion's and I might play through Squall's at the same time too.
Also, cute Tidus, Squall and Cloud scene is CUTE! @__@ |

It's a bad terrible thing if you already have the money brought/ already own a PSP have already worked out who you are going to play through the story with first and have been sitting here waiting/ watching for hours/ days and want to kill SE for the waiting and boredom they are sending you..
But It's a good thing if you haven't already got a PSP and is still saving up to buy one and still have no clue whatsoever who you are going to play the story with first..
Is in the second pile... mean have no idea who is going to play this game with first..
It would of been Zidane but already know his story and what happens because it leaked out online..
But is Tossing up between Firion Kuja Onion Kid and Terra.. |

Re: Final Fantasy - Dissidia By Keysha-chan. 02/09/09, 11:51 am |
| Well, to be fair, you don't play through a story mode for Kuja, it's the heroes you play through.
Firion's is rather fun, I'm doing his right now and I'd probably suggest either him or Onion Knight. Terra and Warrior of Light have the hardest story modes to play out, so you might want to leave hers until you understand the gameplay well enough (takes a bit of getting used to).
Also, it's not Square's fault for the delay, it's the Australasia distributor's fault. :< |

That sucks..
Wouldn't it make more sense to make a story-mode for the badguys so Sephiroth Fanboys would be please.. Sephiroth Fanboys please = More cash for SE ?
Hard-out wanted a Kuja Storyline... ;_:
Ah okay ! Thanks that makes the job of choosing the first one much easier ! ^^
Think will choose Onion Kid because really love the Final Battle theme for FF3 and kinda adore FF3.. |

Re: Final Fantasy - Dissidia By Keysha-chan. 02/09/09, 03:12 pm |
| Well, it's good to see they're not TOTALLY using FFVII as a cash-cow in this. Heck, FFI/Warrior of light is considered the main 'hero' overall in some respects of the game.
And don't worry about Kuja! Asides fighting their respective hero and the end of each hero's story, they also go as a 'sub boss' in one or two other character's events. So you get to interact with each villain several times as well and get quite a few cutscenes.
Actually, there's a LOT of cutscenes in this game, and once you finish (I think it's 2 character's stories) you can open up the museum which lets you replay ANY of the cutscenes you've already seen.
You can also buy the villains with PP and (I think? Can't remember when I unlocked it) use them later in the game, maybe....I've not played the next stage as I'd like to finish all the other heroes before I continue with the higher level stages of the game. :3
Maybe we should do a count-down for everyone - might make the wait for the game more exciting? |

| So what are we on now? A week to go, right? :3
Oh, also...something I gave in and bought. The dissidia figurines:
Mostly got them for Tidus and Zidane, as I don't have a huge amount of space for figurines over here, so the other three I might sell off. see here for more details.
Still need to beat Firion's story, then I'm half way through everyone on Destiny Odyssey. Then onto Shade Impulse. |

Re: Final Fantasy - Dissidia By Keysha-chan. 04/09/09, 04:36 pm |
| I honestly didn't notice any age-change with Squall but then again I'm not a MASSIVE FFVIII fan so I probably wouldn't pick up on it.
As for Terra, I've never played FFVI and know little about it, but I picked up something didn't seem...right, with her? Compared to all the guys she seems so feeble and has Onion Knight there as her guardian and just sorta...stands around worried a lot (I've yet to play her story so I've yet to see how her a OK's scenario plays out). She doesn't come across as the Hero of her game like all the guys do, and I'm sure she wasn't like that in the game, right?
I remember reading somewhere someone being very annoyed about how she is portrayed. Hmmm..maybe FF's wikia will tell me more. *runs to look*
@ Admin - Welp, like I said, I'm selling off a couple (looks like it will be Cloud and Warrior of Light) so if you want one of them you can look me up.
BTW - finished Firion today. Onto Squall. Then it will be the hardest stories left to play (Warrior of Light, Onion Knight, Terra and Bartz). |

I don't think you really have to be a big FFVIII fan to notice that he definitely looks 'younger'... which is one way to put it maybe. IDK, maybe it's more the fact that he's... well, weedier than he was in VIII, the time of Nomura's manly men drawing tiemz (how I miss them so). He definitely doesn't look like how he used to be though D:
I played Terra briefly and she kept on finishing up her battles with "I'm glad it's over" and things like that, which really surprised me... in VI she's got a much stronger attitude. Uh, how do I phrase it... she has her 'weak' moments in VI, but she's still strong (and still gentle) at the same time. In Dissidia, she just seems weak overall. Terra be strong! D: |

| - Spoiler:
so maybe it's not so much age as maturity (and yeah manlyness sounds right). he's also become a lot more cocky. ):
i agree totally on the terra thing. it really sucks that she became so weak and dependant. she 100% fits the stereotypical female character role now - this is made even more lame by the fact that she was a really fantastic not clinched lead in the orginal game. tbh though i guess you could kind of expect characters to get messed up when they go from rpgs to a cross-over beat 'em up. |
