| The DSi is full with gimmicky, useless little features. Not worth the loss of the GBA slot, imo. |

nonetheless, i managed to beat golbez in one go, and i'm on the hardcore setting. though tbh i'm unsure that that even effects the difficulty - i'd always assumed it just changed the treasure you got from the chocobo. maybe i was just higher level than you guys - my cecil is rockin' it at level 17. That's because YOU'RE hardcore ;D But yeah, I beat him in one or two tries too. I can't remember what setting I'm on... I think Average because Casual = Beginner or something and I never do Beginner levels on games for some reason 8D; (Well... except for Persona 4. >w>)

you should totally play against me next table tennis, man !! Ohhh, I get it! Heh, you learn something new everyday
It's the last session this week! Oh noes! Okay okay okay, let's do it! >D Lesse, I might try being Firion or Cecil.... heh. Hey, is your Squall really Level 100? D:

AMEN TO THIS. But it's really really cool because I have a low voice fetish! 8D Uh... was that weird? >__>;; Um, I love the low manly voices. How's that? :'D
Really?? Damnneeet! Ohh man, Cloud of Darkness' voice is awesome! 8D Sooo well done. Hmm.... actually I forgot to say earlier, I was slightly crestfallen at the lack of 'K's in Ultimecia's voice. I dunno what accent she's meant to have but every time I try a Ultimecia voice it comes out with a French accent xD; Does anyone know if they kept her funny speech pattern in the Japanese version too?
I have to agree. One Winged Angel battle with badass but Otherworld was even MORE badass. By the way, I finished Tidus (I put it on my PSP last Tuesday and I've 10/11 finished it?? I'm usually so slow!! xD). I shed a tear or two inside :'D I swear James Arnold Taylor made Tidus sound like he was gonna cry. Great job, Mr. Taylor! I love the relationship between Jecht and Tidus. SRSLY.

By the way is there a reason why bubbles keep on coming off the Brotherhood sword? I swear that wasn't in the original game! Or... maybe that's just me and my lack of playing X, save for the demo >w> (My cousin in CHCH sent me the demo for X when he sent me VI. He is awesome for introducing me to VI 8D). I get my X insider info from FFWikia and Marina, heh.

It's no so much a VA no-no so much as... it's bad for your voice if you do it wrong. I've managed to churn out a few convincingly teenage male voices (and a Kuja voice I sort of liked! -shot-) in the past and I managed to make it sound natural without straining my voice (That day, it wasn't the boy voice that killed me.... no, it was the super-high Japanese fangirl voices. Eeecchh.) But I digress, the way it was done sort of sounded like it would hurt a bit. Maybe. I'm just guessing here x__o
Yeah, it definitely comes out of his butt, no question. Wrong place, Square!! XD
Duuude! Must have photos of Zidane! (pics or it didn't happen xD) And bonus for being small-ish? :'D I considered cosplaying Onion Knight briefly because of my lack-of-size, heheh xD;
DS lite > DSi. The features are cool, but... I want my GBA slot! D; (even if I don't have any GBA games... bah. I want V! >w>)

I actually beat Golbez the opposite way - I never seemed to be able to actually land a Saint's Fall, so I resorted to using more Dark Knight moves.
Is it just me, or do most people seem to be getting stuck on golbez? |

@ Li-Bai - the bubbles from Tidus' sword come from when you could add additional properties onto your weapons later in FFX - one of them made the Brotherhood sword bubble like that. Very cool. :3 |

| I wish I was able to play against you guys. In any case, I also had issues against Golbez. He is a very difficult fight at that point in the game. Kuja also gives you good run for your money.
I'm currently starting Shade Impulse, but I've been focusing more on grinding the characters levels and getting the summons in the 2nd playthrough of story mode. Currently have a Level 100 Emperor and Level 100 Golbez, Kuja and Terra are also on the way there while Cecil, WoL, Onion Knight and Firion are about halfway. |

| ^ For me it's one of those words that you never hear and then all of a sudden everyone you know is saying it xD
Edit: OH MY GOD THE MUSEUM IS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD. Not just character files and etc. but VOICE CLIPS GALOOOOOOOORE. There's about 10 Victory and Loss lines for each character, around 30 battle cries ("HNGH!" "HAH!" "HRRAAGGHHH!!" "HOOAH!!" "AARGHHH!!" xD) and DIALOGUE FROM THE CUTSCENES OMFG. I could go through each line and critique them individually if I wanted to! (There's nothing quite like listening to a line by itself >w>)
Meanwhile my Firion's now at Level 27. It's surprisingly easy to Level Up, I never realised it before. But I want to get all the characters up to the same Level because... I am lame? idk LOL It's gonna be a lot of gameplay time (FFFFFF) but I'll get a lot of PP to buy stuff from the PP catalog Oh hey, what does the first P stand for anyway? Player? Player Points? |

Re: Final Fantasy - Dissidia By IcyRose. 16/09/09, 05:53 am |
| Nice little trick for those who want to grind quickly:
- Spoiler:
Go into the PP Catalog and purchase all the CPU Level Cap+ bonuses in the System. Now go to Quick Battle and set whatever character you want to grind to fight a Level 100 Exdeath with Level 9 Difficulty setting and Cautious behavior. Kill Exdeath and you will get a HUGE amount of exp for killing a level 100 character. Increased even more so if you're doing this on an exp bonus.
Of course that probably sounds easier said than done, so I'll throw in another handy hint, Exdeath has NO aerial HP attacks so if you take the battle to the air, he can't hurt you... as long as he's not on the ground or using a counter attack which he doesn't do often if he's on cautious behavior. Although it does take a long while since at this level of difficulty, the cpu has a knack for being able to dodge your attacks almost too well

Re: Final Fantasy - Dissidia By Keysha-chan. 16/09/09, 07:55 pm |
| XD It's because Exdeath has a very pathetic AI that the trick can work. Also make sure your chocobo's in a happy mood/found food and equip some experience boosting gear and you can really jump up the levels.
However, I do not want to do this. I want to grind the old-fashion way because...I dunno, it just passes time on the train better, I guess? X3
Also - Li-bai, YES! I LOVE the voice clips so much! I think some of the lines the others say to Kuja is AMAZING. XD And almost everything Bartz says is funny. Most of all against Jecht:
'Let's fight! LIKE MEN!' (sounding TOTALLY un-manly as he does! XD) |

| The Chocobo is related to your play plan (Casual, Average, Hardcore, Grind-Lover and Treasure Hunter) It gives bonuses of either multiplying your exp in the next battle or gifting you with a treasure chest. The frequency of these bonuses is dependent on your play plan.
I'm running on Grind-Lover since it gives me the exp boosts more frequently. |
