I made slight progress tonight 8D
Made a mock up of the barrel, I'll be making the pieces wider than this one so that it'll look more like the one in the reference picture

Waiting on a final payment for a commission to come through, then I can order my dye remover and get started on Claire's tutu. Then it's just acessories, and I think I'm done...except the umbrella. STUPID UMBRELLA.

And yeah, I get what you mean about the fur on the hat. You could get away with it as it is now, but it would look better if it went vertically, imo.

I just got a truckload of white overlocker thread (yay trademe!), so I should be able to get at least the base layer of my dress sewn this weekend, if not both layers. Very Happy

EDIT; front page is fixed but I NEED HELP WITH THE SKIT. can anyone that has some spare time to talk things over please msn me or something, i'm stressing out with finishing a comp skit for chch/skit for chch&welly cosplay games/the MC skit, so i'd be really grateful if i could have someone to bounce ideas off re: songs and choreography etc. because it needs to be done soonish.

i don't know how well i can do a video of the dance considering i just tore a ligament in my back, but i will do my best.

QUESTION! I have four options for the fly on the pants:

1. Use a navy blue invisible one.
2. Use a crimson not-invisible one.
3. Use a BLARINGLY RED invisible one.
4. Get one of a matching colour to the fabric and waste time and money.

Haven't put elastic in it yet because I'm still considering how I might attach it to the trousers (but I probably will end up with them like leg warmer things). Will do the second one when I find a pencil.

I think it looks good with how I used bias tape to do the designs, so I'm happy! Pics when I find a camera lol.
