Wouldn't mind being the Bouncer for the ball, have done karate in the past and is quite strong.
And have had practiced defeating self towards heavy and strong men. ;< [Tough poses]

Claire, the CCC is not about violently removing people. We call the police for that. It's about cosplay, and friends.

Bouncing is about gently talking around drunks, which I find unlikely to turn up anyway. Probably you are just door keeping. Checking and selling tickets, telling parents when to pick people up, and keeping track of who leaves so we don't loose them.

You do have to be able to pull off looking confident, and capable of handling yourself. And then hopefully you don't have to.

Riven's speech last year was a good one, but think that she was also introducing new CCC rules at the same time too. Though Riven's speech was pretty good.

Last year we asked people to suggest their own favourite songs which was a pretty good idea, but this time suggest maybe asking for not so much slow songs ? Last year Riven didn't really like the idea of too many slow songs playing at once. Though a few slow songs now and again would be excellent so people can speak to people/ take a break/ head to the bathroom. Is just saying some ideas, you don't have to take it in =)

RIGHT!

I looked at the computer thing for the first 2 weeks of sept. Both were being used until 4pm.
Last week in August was being used all day.

SO I have booked the 2nd to last sat of August. Can't remember the date off hand sorry. We have it from noon onwards (@Sirius we can have it even earlier if you want to set it up and have a break before the ball itself)

A cosplay ball sounds amazing! Can't wait for it! Now I just have to decide on a costume and make it!
Ten dollars sounds rather cheap for a ball, though what am I complaining, bargains are good! And that means I can spend more money on my cosplay. XD

I don't see the point in making it cost heaps.

Last year it was like $10 a ticket as well and there were 42 people (lets get more this year!) and that was enough to pay for lighting, food, decorations and help pay for the giant chess mat. And there was still alot left over to donate to a charity ^^
