in terms of organizations to give any money to i prefer the idea of a rolling pot so that the money can be used next year for the ball. or failing that it could go to the Society for the Promotion of Cosplay Culture

Also, the theme is pretty open for interpretation, I mean light and dark is pretty much good and evil, so that's almost every character ever XD

I'm trying to find charities that don't get alot of attention. Like kids with type one diabetes or autisum (sp?) I think theres a few cancer charities which are quite small

And the theme dark vs light is extremely general. You can come as any character so I don't see a problem with having a theme.

madam M designed the tickets for the youth group ball last year and did an incredible job as such i would suggest asking her to do it again. (they will look freakishly professional)
