| As for announcing the issue, I agree that we should know. If we don't know, the entire night is a mystery. If we do know, then we have some chance of figuring out who is who, instead of having nothing to go off of. That's just my opinion anyways. |

| Do you not understand that the mafia will just kill my target to make my investigation useless? I doubt they will risk wasting a kill on me because there's a probable chance that a doctor is in play, since there is so much information in play already with people taking sides etc. It's just not gon happen. |

| So let me get it right.
- Peterofl wrote:
- Rengen and I both know Zeorymer is town.
Peter claimed that he knows Zeo is town, and Rengen does too. Not think, but he knows. This is at page 6.
- Peterofl wrote:
- My logic is pretty simple.
I know that Rengen is mafia. I know that Zeo is town.
If Rengen is mafia then she would know that Zeo is town.
It's really not that complicated, you see. I asked Peter to explain why he knows that information, he then claimed that he knows Zeo is town and he knows Rengen is Mafia. Again, knows. This is page 7.
Read this comment again, at page 7.

Actually I do know. When asked how, he first wouldn't tell because he'd get lynched off rather than killed at night. This wording always stood out to me. When pushed again, he made a point on disregarding everything he said and claimed town. People didn't buy it, so his reason for he knows is that he's the cop.
- Peterofl wrote:
- LOL ok.
I'm the cop. According to my PM I'm betraying the government for my sister and a bunch of randoms and my sister who is apparently a monster and marrying some douchebag. we lost our parents somehow and I have a tattoo of a death sentence. and beacuse of all this nobody blames me for being a bit of a smarmy wrench. This is page 10.
So now I have confirmed that in Day 1, when there are no night rounds yet cops have essentially done nothing, how the hell did he know because of his role as cop? I am still too busy going Brghh? at all this.
*** One more thought, while it I have acting on the assumption that this is a super basic Mafia, I don't recall sweet georgia brown ever explicitly stated that the roles are limited to cop, doctor and roleblocker, or indeed that it is that simple of a set up. So this is not so much suspicious behaviour right now but it's worth taking a note on who are the first people suggested so. If this turned out to be more likely the case, they are more likely to be town. If we ended up with a body of a more unusual role, again I don't see this as a scum scream but still something to be noted for.

| I'm just going on the assumption Peter usually pulls out stuff like this, but tends to actually be lying about what he 'knows'. Usually, if anyone else pulled this, I'd be sus. as, but since Peter tends to do it a lot, I don't even know. Still, you make a good point. I wonder what others think about it? |

| Me saying that Rengen was scum and Zeo was town has NOTHING to do with me being a cop, hence the "Disregard everything I have said" post before claiming. |

| In the case of Peter verses Phlaming Pheonix
Unfortunately it all depends on information we don’t have yet. We don’t know what sweet georgia brown counts as a basic set up. Is there a roleblock? Is there a doctor? At this stage we don’t know which is why it is a more risky move then if we were further in the game.
One risk no one has mentioned is IF there is a doctor/another town power and IF Peter investigates them and IF SGB writes the night story allowing links to be seen, then they will be outed. Yes that is an awful lot of ifs but at this stage it is still a risk.
I can see why Phlaming Pheonix asked for the info, as such he could be innocent in his intentions. Of course he might not have been, so we shall have to see.
With XOrengenOX the votes against her seem more ‘gut’ influenced by her play-style and the desire to end this day-phase. As such I won’t add my vote unless something more solid comes up against her.

This is just one of the reasons why I don't like this idea, it's pretty risky as we don't know the set up as of yet but then I've never been a fan of Town deciding who to target in advance, never have, never will. But I can sort of see why PP suggested it though.

Yes that is an awful lot of ifs but at this stage it is still a risk. @MM: This brings up a good point and like you said, does have a lot of ifs and is still a risk. But if Peter does end up investigating a Town power, then I would like to think that SGB would be a good enough Mod not to out them.
I too am still suspicious of Rengen for the same reasons I mentioned earlier and nothing has changed my mind as of yet so my vote stays for now. |

Ever heard of the WIFOM? if there is a doctor, it comes down to a WIFOM game between them and the mafia. Just sayin' - your logic is faulty. I respect your decision though - for all the arguments in the pro, my gut and all sense of best practice tells me that you should not reveal your target. |

| Yeah, I agree. Peter shouldn't reveal his target, but the doc - if there is one, which there probably is - should doc Peter. Although, if the Mafia knows that the doc's going to do this, they're probably not going to night-kill Peter, so they'll attack someone else, which would make the whole docing of Peter redundant...
So yeah... |

Check the sign up thread. It's a 'hella basic setup', suitable for newbies. Explicit state of "hella basic setup". The assumption that "hella basic setup = cop, doctor, roleblocker" is not explicitly stated.
At this stage it still means nothing, but it's still one element I'm paying attention to. |

Re: final fantasy xiii mafia [n3] By Phlaming Phoenix-. 19/05/11, 02:06 pm |
| Peyer, I have said time and time again; Give me a reason why you are suspicious of me. Seriously dude, stop pushing for a lynch against me without backing it up, one vote is going to do nothing.
Anyway, As much as I hate to elongate day one, I am actually no longer suspicious of rengen so much.. someone else has caught my eye more. But I would like more information on that person before I say something, so don't ask who it is.
So here I am, looking through a few posts and the people who strike off notes with me are; MM Selphiroth and RMD
Who agrees who disagrees?

| I can say RMD has kinda set off my gut, but I don't tend to trust my gut feelings in this game. As for the other two, not so much. MM's not said much and Sel's being the smarty she usually is in mafia. Anything in particular that's making you sus? Or just feelings? |

Anything in particular that's making you sus? Or just feelings? You've played one game with me in the past, I doubt it says much about my playing pattern. It's also hilarious because in the one game I was Mafia I was the most apologetic player ever. For being new, not for being mafia. |
