Re: The new Dr Who By Rolly. 02/05/10, 02:01 pm |
| Just watched then new Dr on Prime - I can see and hear bits of Tenant sometimes! So that makes it OK - he's still got the Dr feel for me! Also, was the episode a bit low budget, or was it just me?
The episode was a bit predictable where I predicted that
- Spoiler:
he doesn't come back in 5 minutes for Amilia and ends up going in the future where she becomes his new companion. ;D And I was right! Haha, the Dr, always late!
Also, their English accents makes it a bit hard to catch what they're saying sometimes - esp without subtitles and family taking over the TV. ;w; |

| - Spoiler:
I had heard from a friend on monday something about 'fish sticks in custard' and 'doesn't come back 5mins, it's years' and I was able to work out the basics of what would happen (minus the prisoner 0 dealy, well, I knew it'd happen and she'd be of some use in saving stuff)
I really do like Matt as the Dr, I think he did a great job |

| He did a awesome job. Thumbs up to Matt Smith and the new ERA of Dr Who still awesome. @Rolly The accents were more north of england (the assissant is scottish and Matt Smith is Northerner part of England) But I found it easy to watch...Cant wait till next week... |

Re: The new Dr Who By Zeorymer. 03/05/10, 06:05 am |
| Watched it on Prime - good episode! I enjoyed it despite the predictableness. Matt Smith was a good follow-up to Tennent
- Spoiler:
"And here's FTL travel with 2 diagrams and a joke." "Why am I writing a virus on a phone? You'll find out soon." Shame about the Arc drop at the end of the episode though, but seeing him talk down to the flying Overmind was much better end to the encounter. And he nicks another bride >_>

Re: The new Dr Who By CamusCanDo. 03/05/10, 09:26 am |
| I like the carried on fact that the Doctor can be a bit of an warped bat-fowling horn-beast most of the time. It's a great parallel to Tenant's goofishness, not saying that the Tenth Doctor didn't have his serious moments, he did, it's just that he was much more light-hearted than Smith has been. Prime example of this is his dealing with Amy's affliction in the latest episode. Overall, still love Smith and he reamins to be my favourite Doctor. Even if some of the episodes so far have been pretty hit or miss. |

Will we actually get to see more of the Tardis for once??? They have the staircases heading off in different directions... AND we were told about a Library and a swimming pool, so can we have an adventure INSIDE the Tardis please????

Re: The new Dr Who By Guest. 03/05/10, 03:38 pm |
| I'm starting to get into the Dr who series, so is going to start watching old episodes on UK TV and the newer one coming up, yaay. :3
Think it's because really like that Doctor, he's kinda hot when he wears glasses. Would watch Torchwood but don't like the main character's actor personality in real life, he is a judge on a musical show like American Idol and he's really shallow ( ie only picks the good looking people to get through ).
But yeah, can't wait to get into the Doctor Who craze !~ |

| So I really like this new Doctor!! I was afraid at first as I believe DT (from what little Dr Who's I've seen) is the best. But anyway Matt is awesome - I got hooked first episode and then had to go looking for more. So I've now seen episode 2 and so want more!! Damn you Dr Who!! I now need to go find Steve.... and a large USB stick. |

Re: The new Dr Who By Sockcat. 05/05/10, 01:31 am |
| Yeah. I kind of get annoyed at the people who are all like "Ahhh, Matt Smith CANNOT replace DT EVAR". I think we have to give the guy a chance. I like him--he kind of has old (?) eyes. Anyway, it's believeable that he's 900 years old or whatever. And while it might seem forbidden to say so, I think DT was getting a little old. Kind of like the "House" routine. I mean, I thought he was totally awesome, don't get me wrong.... But fresh blood is good, methinks. And he's not trying to be a facsimile of DT either, which is good.
Ahh, Doctor Who season makes me happy.
- Spoiler:
But what the heck with bring the Weeping Angels back? I REALLY hope they're not just doing it because they were so popular. I mean, Blink was possibly the best episode ever, but I couldn't cope if they just re-hashed it just for the sake of it. Seriously.
