I admit. I was worried. David Tennant is a tough act to follow, but I must say, so far at least, Matt Smith is doing a pretty good job!

I haven't seen a full episode yet, but what I really admire about Matt Smith the most is that he's not trying to copy what David Tennant left behind, but he's forging his own version. That's brilliant that Very Happy

I know what you mean. I did keep expecting him to shout Allons-y! though. He does have the right amount of crazy, so far at least. Admittedly, that's largely down to the writers, but

I'm looking forward to the next episode. There's far to few decent SciFi programs on TV at the moment. Especially ones that aren't military based. Dr Who and Fringe are keeping me sane (?) at the moment.

Nice to see some old Bad Guys coming back this season, too.

@Tippo: lol what??? how is it sad that Prime air's Dr Who? there the only main stream channel in NZ that does it, I think there doing a good job at keeping up with the air dates.
youngest doctor you say, why of course the doctor only gets younger though each regeneration.

I would laugh heartily if the next (and final, I guess) reincarnation of the Doctor was an rebel teenager with a skateboard and skaterboi-shoes. 8DDDDb

Trivia: NZ was the first country outside of the UK to get Doctor Who on TV. I think it was around the time TV was first being introduced to NZ as well.

It is sad that its on Prime because my family sometime sends DVDs from britian and they dont skip parts and over in UK they dont have adverts.

Its good thats its on over hear but I wish they dont put on so much adverts and skip parts

I've noticed Prime has a lot less adds then most channels, adds don't kill the show it make it drag out longer there for making it far more enjoyable.

BTW whats up with the new docs cloths? I really don't like them ;__;

T.T limited internets means I can't watch it till Prime shows it, or i get it off someone.

In answering your question about his outfit, They were going to give him a 'Johny Depp Captian Jack Sparrow' styled outfit, but Mat Smith hated it so it looked through the costume storage grabbed out thouse, and asked why he couldn't wear that.
Thats what the Offical Dr Who Mag says anyway.

Mmm, bit torrent... We gave up broadcast TV years ago and have never looked back since. Watch what you want, when you want, in the correct order, pretty much as soon as it's aired in it's home country and without the ads. What's not to like?

The Doctor's outfits have been a bit boring recently, that's true. Makes it hard to cosplay if it isn't too outlandish.

I thought he was awesome. I thought he was better than Tennant was in last years specials (although I reckon that's cause the writting slipped up...)

I am liking the new Who! Matt Smith is pretty good. He even channelled DT quite well in certain scenes of eppy 1. Liked that old enemies are coming back.
