The whole outfit is taking longer than I thought. And yes the fabric is a slippery mess, and likes sliding under the foot of the sewing machine. lol

So it will be the standard Princess Leia, and I will wear Raven again. *I did want something new to wear*

Thanks to the hot weather I have finished both sides of both strips! From far away it's rather effective but up close you (of course) can see a few mistakes...

Entire Ivy sword is polyfilla'd, waiting on it to dry so I can start sanding. Claire tutu is dyed (badly), and I'm starting to put that together now. I have enlisted the help of my mother to sew some beads onto the roses at the neckline, and am now off to find a massive drill bit to start work on the umbrella handle for Claire. Also fit two leotards, which now need some minor alterations before being finished.

For an entire day's work, I feel strangely unproductive...

Mmkay, so I have to lace up my foot like crazy to keep the whole thing secure and that makes it not as pure as the original, but I can move better when I've strapped my heel and my instep to the shoe! 8Db

The one time I've managed to get a decent priced wig with a nice fibre and realistic skin head and its the worst thing that could happen! Pfffft

I've decided to be very accurate when it comes to the thread around my sleeves. I've measured, counted the loops, decided on the raito of ribbon out:in, set the distance, pinned, re-pinned and am now onto the second sleeve.
Why do I have to do it the hard way >_<;

My mother just helped me pin my corset and my skirt all ready for alteration~ 8D
I'M SO EXCITED.

Now all I have to do is make the fake blood, I believe. Then tomorrow, we're making Macbeth's stab wound, and then I just have to take our costumes out to the bike park and rub them in the dirt on the track. 8D

Walking in them is pretty easy actually! The standing still is the hard part. 8Db

It might get easier once I get rubber strips put on the bottom of them~

Haha thank you 8Db Although in honesty Dad made them so he gets the credit for that. Yup, I'm going to cosplay [this guy]. Might not cut out those holes in the middle though. :B

Your welcome. I must admit I did alot of bulding stuff at high school and all of it was useless lol. Your dad has a really good skills. How did u get the idea of the wooden shoes?

Haha yeah. I guess it helps to have an architect Dad who has woodworking skillz 8Db I think I always just kind of knew/thought/accepted that his shoes were wooden. They do actually exist, these shoes, though I didn't know of this Tengu variety before looking it up.

Wow your dad has really good skill. Is it scary walking round with the shoes as they make u taller (lol no offence) and for me that would be hard to walk hehe.
