At fabric vision, it's a Simplicity pattern, no. 5794. They're having a sale at the moment, all Simplicity patterns are $7.50 |

| Bought a pattern for a long coat for Allen walker, and some drill to do a mock up.
Also found some suede that was a perfect colour for Hao's chaps...but it was $30 a metre |

| Did a mock up for Hao's chaps. They are ridiculously sexy XD
Also spent the afternoon drafting/modifying a pattern for Allen Walker's coat. There has to be about 20 million pieces to that thing! |

Re: General Progress By Static. 07/06/10, 02:03 pm |
| Kyokogirl: Ha! Yeah. chaps are like that ;D
I made progress! I picked up some pellon today to quilt my Margaret dress. All pieces are now cut in fabric and pellon (I bought juuuust the right amount yay!) and I have successfully quilted 2/7 panels. Reeeeeally slow going and I am using up all my topstitching thread! Must pick up another few hundred metres tomorrow. So, photos...EXCUSE THE ROBOTICNESS OF THE DUMMY. And also the wonky piping, and the blatant not-been-ironed-ness.
- Spoiler:
So much pinning. So much. Pinning. Each panel is a sandwich of fabric/pellon/lining and topstitched, and I'm kinda pleased with how it's coming. Just not the rate at which the coming is going. Guh. |
