Only time I'm open for AuckGeddon next year is the Ball D: Ohwait... I'm not actually in a group on Saturday. But every one else probably is. Gah wtff. I'm in groups already for both days of ChchGeddon, too.

I can force level10 to be Wash if Templar wants to do Mal. I HAVE THE POWER.

Man, going as a Reaver would be SO COOL. Wounds, lots of blood, split tongues, not to mention not showering for a week before the event to smell authentic. Awesome!

I found a dress in an opshop that looked very similar to that, so I bought it. I need to alter it slightly to fit me better, then add the lines onto it for the sake of accuracy.

And if there's a group next year, well I'm not allowed to go to Auckgeddon, and I'm full up for CHCHgeddon.

I love that dress, I have the Fabric and stuff to make it, but its in the SI...LOL

Yeah. Mal's pistol is a long barrel I think? If you look for the sites which sell genuine replicas you can get a very good picture of it.

I had not intended to build Vera, as it usually only comes out when he intends to use it. (Or trade it for a woman!) Will need to look closer, but looks like a standard sniprs rifle? If you want to build it TinTango it would be awesome, esp. if this ends up in the competition.But I think it would be easier to play Jayne while walking around the con without Vera. Well I am not pushing for two cosplays for ChCh Geddon, I am happy to wear mine two days, although who knows by then. And I have nothing for Auckgeddon (if I go, probably will.) I however have one group for ChCh Geddon? in 2011.

Poor old Joss Whedon. He makes such great shows and Fox keep cancelling them. Maybe he should try doing the next one with a network that would treat his stuff better.

I agree though - any partner who stops you watching ANYTHING is a partner to be ditched.

Do not get Kevin Sorbo started.

Apparently there is a TV exec that is so famous for cancelling hit shows. He cancelled CSI after seeing the pilot, only for another channel to make squidzillions out of it, and popularise a whole genre. So instead of firing him they introduced a rule. Any show which does a pilot for the network must sign rights over for two? years. So if they can't have it, no one will. Kevin did the pilot for a show, and it rated No. 1 in the test audiences. Predicted biggest hit of the year. So it of course got canned immediately.

The problem with firefly was, bad timeslot, and no advertising. Mind you a space western seemed like it should be real B grade to me. I personnaly did not like andromeda, etc. So it's only when I had seen serenity, and anally watched the extras, that I learned it was made from firefly. So I watched it, and the characters and strories dragged me in.

Mind you look how long Babylon 5 took to be really successful.

I guess that's the only way to go now. Too bad the movie tied up the Firefly universe. A sequel at this point seems almost impossible.

Unless they do something like Knights of The Old Republic 2.... a new character wakes up alone on the damaged and drifting Serenity.

It wouldn't be the same, but I'd watch anything in the Serenity/Firefly 'verse. It would feel really cheap if Whedon wasn't at the helm, though, or wasn't at least keeping a close eye on it.
