I think firefly is awesome! and serenity (I saw the movie first not knowing about the show), I actually just lent out my firefly DVDs to a friend tonight, it's such a shame the show was cancelled! sad

I've been wanting it since i saw the first episode. My friend brought it to a sleep over, and i was kind of like meh, lets chuck it on. About 10 minutes in i was like ZOMG IVE SEEN MY FUTURE AND THIS IS IT.

Firefly is sooo much better then stargate. I like stargate, seen all of it, but Firefly actually contributes something new to SciFi, Stargate seems most of the time just a rehash of hashes. they even rehash their own material ~_~.

BSG is good.

Firefly = love.

I didn't like Serenity much - it's like they mashed everything -- past and present -- into a feature-length episode. I didn't like the fact that they changed how River escaped, and the ending was kind of dissatisfying - it was like he killed off half the cast in one fell swoop. Having said that, I do understand why Joss Whedon did it this way (y'know, the whole cancelled thing, but he was allowed to make a movie instead), but yeah. :\ I almost wonder if 'the future' would have been better left to our imaginations. Firefly is much better though. I love Firefly with a passion. <3

There is a short comic run set between the tv show and the movie. Much as there is a continuation of both buffy and angel in comic book form.

I watched the movie first. after recently watching the series, I realised this was a mistake. such a shame there was only one season, this could have gone on much further.
