Actually, I thought it was TOO tall >__> It actually is quite tall. If it's a problem I can place it higher on my head. And being bigger actually makes it look more like a baker's hat. I think giving it interfacing would make it stronger, so it wouldn't droop so much, which makes it look smaller xP.

you could always stuff it with dacron to make it hold its shape?

Note: My sister will probably not be able to be part of this group anymore. She owes me money, and really, she can't afford to cosplay right now.

@Pura: what about batting instead of interfacing in the hat? You may resemble a knob of garlic, but you know. All in the name of cosplay! Razz

Batting is like stuffing, but comes in sheets - about a cm thick, squishy dacron Very Happy

It's so fun to play with.

Still only have fabric for the top, no other progress on Calintz D: But I only have one Internal Uni paper this year (the rest extramural), so I can fiddle my time to have plenty to finish him in. I need to get focused!

Okay no progress on Rue till March like Rowan as I want to commission all my commissions in the next week or so.

March will be insane but I will do my best 8D

Unfortunately though I doubt I'll have enough time or funds to make the swords though I will be making the backpack (ripping a shirt up for the leather look 8D)

So uh. In other news, I figured out what the hell the design is on the front of claire's skirt, and have paint to start doing it. I just need a chalk pencil so I can sketch it onto the fabric first XP

I've made the pattern for Elaine's shirt and the base for the big knob thing at the back of her head. I'm just gonna see if I can find any decent pieces of wood lying around the house that I can use to make the barrel :3
