JUST 'cause i'm kinda curious. what do you dread most when you start a cosplay?

for me, it's probably styling wigs. styling wigs, and i hate pattern cutting. B| TAKES FOREVER, WHAT.

Shoes....I hate trying to match shoes and making covers for them O_o...I always manage to choose cosplays with obscure shoes (wether shape or style).

I know this year I am going to add wig styling to the list...it's not there now as I have only ever styled one wig before (but now I have two to do in the next two weeks)

As of late, copious amounts of 3D fabric painting. If you screw that up, the clean up is no fun and can also result in potential disaster

Also, those moments when you look at your completed cosplay and then second-guess how good a job you did. Then proceed to butcher your cosplay in an attempt to fix the error, realise how much you've screwed up far too late and end up in a worse situation than when you were before you tried fixing what technically was not broken... When perfectionism really hits a sore spot.

even the thin stuff that I CAN bend is a ho, I cut some yesterday and it flicked backwards, the sharp end cut into my hand.

The part during the cosplay making process that makes me want to give up. After that I rush like heck to get it finished and it's not made to the standard that I was hoping for >_<;

I hate the search for proper fabric. I'm not good at it, and going to every fabric shop in town to compare availability and price BEFORE I buy is a pain in the butt. And my other problem is that as soon as you get home with your meticulously chosen fabrics/patterns, you see another angle of the outfit which makes you second guess everything you've just spent vast sums of money on.
I'm really not fond of pinning and hemming either.

Wig styling, I don't have the patience to sit with a wig, hair spray and hair dryer for more than 2 hours so wigs such as the one in my avatar (18 hours total wtf) kill me
