Yeah, my mum pays for fabrics too and helps me out... but still, that's a lot of time and work to do! Your work ethic must be phenomenal or something.

And to reiterate what others have said before, money. And the super-annoying moment where you find a perfect fabric pattern/shade / something else perfect for such-and-such and then you come back when you need it and it's not there. RAEG.

Money is a issue but also getting the right clothes or paints. I find it hard to choose what suits my main cosplay charactor because if a event happens and its cold well my cosplay wouldn't work sadly sad

... as, like, everyone else has said, money xDDDDD

Also, the paranoia that I will get to the con and be lumped as one of the ultra-fail cosplayers. Especially since, when you're just buying stuff, it quite often won't be exactly right.
I'm always terrified that everyone will be looking at me and going "... she thinks that THAT looks like THAT character?" xD;
Especially when it's a character who isn't as well-known, like Suzie. Or one from a book or play or whatever xD;

Stress can be an issue. Trying to get the costume ready can be a last minute thing and thats sooo stressful lol

Agrees with the DNW to be the "fail cosplayer" especially when its your first time >.<

oh and the spending ~~WAY TO MUCH~~ money on a cosplay, but because it taking you so long to make ....it no longer fits AT ALL

Worse still when you got all the materials ready and u design the costume spent all that money and well it didnt fit or was ruined.....

I got the sword last year not long after Auckugeddon. I plan these things imediately after going out the gate there.

The Lightsaber so much because as I haev heard about it they don't make many of them anymore
