Rule Suggestion - limitation of style use

if it helps, i for one really appreciate your change of font styles and your willingness to find a middle ground. >: the old one was pretty, but this one's a lot easier to read while still retaining a bit of a personal touch.

I managed to read it. Barely. But that's because i've grown used to my astigmatism and know how to tell letters apart. The color annoys me the most

i never had an issue with changing font sizes.

all i was concerned about was the personal attack nature of this entire thread, and the massive overreactions (from my point of view) of people who posted.

Do you really expect people to wanna all be the same & so what if YOU can't read there post? are you really missing out on anything at all, People post to be heard & it's up to them how much they want to be heard. If there font color blinds you or if there font size is to small it's really up to you to change that, they shouldn't have to change there ways just because of a few people.

We are currently deciding how to change that.

Also I wouldn't say 23 people is a small amount

@MissEevee: Unfortunately (in regards to the heatedness), that's the way that these discussions often go (I know I am often guilty of such, and have been deliberately trying to curb it in this case, though I'm not sure of how successful my self-restraint has been Embarassed

I wonder: perhaps a new thread, with a new poll that everyone agrees on the wording of should be created? I think at this stage, people will mostly just respond to the OP rather than reading the whole thread, and this topic has developed so rapidly that the OP is an entirely kettle of fish, so to speak.

I agree that much of the commentary in this thread has been personal, and if this is going to be a discussion about a rule, it should be about the forum as a whole, not an individual. Hence why I suggest perhaps a new thread on this rule idea?

JVCA: i have had more than one warning for being too personal on forums, and it was much less than this has been.
i really hope this is being addressed more seriously behind the scenes.

as for a new thread, i don't think it's necessary.
the change has been made.
as i said - me/ the problem has been subdued/solved.
i will no longer try to make myself different.
and i apologise for thinking it was appropriate when clearly it never was.
some unspoken rule i must have missed.

anyway, there are already three threads related to this.
no need for a fourth.
Will is now the only one who still seems to have a problem.
maybe he needs to make a new thread addressing whatever problem it is he's still bitter about.

might wanna change the first post then,cos i read that && was like fslkjflasaslk off!!! hell will i bring people down & make them look like everyone else, I hate to blend in D: So i know what it feels like to not wanna look like anyone else. I really still dont have a prob with font size but Eevee all ready said she would change it so umm.
@Will- Why is it so important for you to read every post? If you can't read it yet you still take time to change it, so you can. i dont think you have a right to say people shouldn't do it

@Eevee: I do think that there needs to be some kind of 'acceptable posting styles' system worked out, for fear of someone else being on the end of a personal attack. It is unfair, I agree (though I will raise the point that during the CCC issues last week, you said (paraphrase as I believe the thread/posts have been deleted) "if anyone has a problem with me, then they should just come out and say it to my face"), and I would like to avoid it happening again by putting some guidelines in place, and would like these guidelines to be up for public discussion.

HOWEVER; I think that perhaps this issue would be best brought up again at a later time, when this particular incident is not quite so fresh - if we were to do so now, I think the thread would just follow the same track as this one did.

So for the mean time, I will leave it, and perhaps bring it up next week. :)

I'm locking this thread now, as it's now going nowhere.
