| just finished season 5 man what an exit Still prefer Tom Baker (the 4th) but David is close second. God I love the daleks and cybermen and as such my favorite episodes or the new series are the finales of season 2 and 4. My favorite of the old series so far is genesis of the daleks and its really worth the time to watch. My favorite villain is davros. |

| The next series of Doctor Who will premiere on April 3 on BBC One, it has been confirmed.
New showrunner Steven Moffat made the announcement this morning on BBC Breakfast.
The episode is entitled 'The Eleventh Hour' and will feature Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and Karen Gillan as his new companion Amy Pond.
The upcoming series is the 31st since Doctor Who first aired in November 1963 and the fifth since the programme's 2005 relaunch headed by Russell T. Davies. |

| Since this survived the forum clean up I decided to revive for latest season.
soooOOOooo Season 6!!! -What are your feelings on the more complex over arching story? -Do you feel this season is darker than previous seasons? -What are your thoughts them taking a mid-season break after episode 7? -What’s your favourite episode so far? -Got any Theories???
REMEMBER SPOILER TAGS WITH VISABLE NOTES SAYING WHAT EPISODE OR FAIR WARNING! Anywho.
-What are your feelings on the more complex over arching story? I like the more complex story ark though it makes it harder for the casual watcher and occasionally drives me slightly crazy, hence the need to talk about things here.
End of Day of the Moon (S06E02):
- Spoiler:
Whats up with amy and WHO IS THE GIRL!!!
-Do you feel this season is darker than previous seasons? I keep hearing people say this season is darker, I don’t really think so though.
-What are your thoughts them taking a mid-season break after episode 7? I can kinda see why they have done it, the effects have been much better this year since they have more time to spend on them, though really I think Steven Moffat just likes torturing his audience with cliff-hangers we have to wait 4 months for.
-What’s your favourite episode so far? Episode 4 By far! *Cough yes I am ahead* Spoilered because the title is a bit of a teaser
- Spoiler:
The Doctors Wife
-Got any Theories??? Several and each is more unlikely then the one before, though I have been reading up on other peoples as well. Here is something interesting though: Safe as long as you have seen The Impossible Astronaut (S06E01)
- Spoiler:
I looked on the episode, it really was there! That hut thing is about the right size for a TARDIS who's chameleon circuit is working...

| Yay! The thread still exists.
-What are your feelings on the more complex over arching story? I love it, it's not so complex that a casual watcher will be completely lost but it does make me more excited for each new episode as I have to find more clues about why and who and how. -Do you feel this season is darker than previous seasons? Yes. Moffat is a master at creating nightmares from simple things or experiences and it seems this season he's going as all out with it as he can while still allowing it to keep it's 6:45pm timeslot (or 5:45am for crazy people like me who livestream it) -What are your thoughts them taking a mid-season break after episode 7? I am okay with it, of course, I don't really want them to take a break but seeing as the seasons are so short anyway, it means the break in between season 6 and 7 shouldn't be so long. Also, final-type episodes are usually very good so I'm happy about getting another of those. -What’s your favourite episode so far? Number four definitely. Gaiman did an excellent job. -Got any Theories??? Spoilers for The Almost People
- Spoiler:
aside from the little girl having timehead? Seriously though, my theories about the Doctor who was killed being a ganger that I developed from The Rebel Flesh were almost entirely ruined by last week's episode. You know how River said she was in prison for killing a good man? I suspect that River may have been in the space suit but I still refuse to believe Dr Who will end with Matt's regeneration, especially after that line about the Corsair being a woman a couple of times, we may end up with a female doctor.
I saw that image and after thinking about it, Moffat wouldn't have let something like that slip through so it's obviously something but no clue what (I don't want the TARDIS to have a working chameleon circuit, I like the police box).

Agreed! My non-Whovian flatmate has been watching it with me and still enjoys it a lot. The stuff from previous episodes kind of just goes over her head (until I start fangirling over it and explain) The fourth episode was amazing. It's such a simple almost fanfictiony idea, but he did it SO well. I like all the references they've made back to it. I hope they invite Neil Gaiman back to do more episodes. In the Confedential they mentioned he sent in several episode ideas that were all really good but this was was omgamazing. I really hope they use some of the other ones too. Imagine if he got to be a permanant writer on the show. I think I would die of happy
spoilers sweetie
- Spoiler:
I think that River Song is Amy/Rory's daughter with weird tardis mojo (hence the regeneration). She was taken by the Silence and put in the suit and made to kill the Doctor? The pregnancy on/off thing: because they are travelling through time and space - in some timelines she is pregnant, in others not? I read a theory that suggested she's been in a dream state since that episode last season with the dreams, since everything that's happened in that episode has come true (Rory dying, her getting preggers, the Tardis blowing up)

| Yay! Others!
@Personified Insanity
- Spoiler:
It could be a DIFFERENT TARDIS? Or he fixed it to hide and will change it back? Or it's just wearing a cover Thats one question, where is the doctor-that-died's TARDIS?
@firecat I would love for more Neil Gaiman episodes! I was waiting for this one for ages! -It was meant to be last season. The fourth episode is now fighting with Blink for my #1 favourate of all time
- Spoiler:
I really don't want the girl to be River Song (with her being Amy/Rory's daughter) that would be weird in my opinion. But that seems to be what most people think
Theories about who 'she' is: Spoiler for Day of the Moon (S06E02)
- Spoiler:
I think the girl is either -Amys Child? (hinted by the photo) -Jenny (The Doctors Daughter) -Susan (Classic!Doctor Who Susan is the Doctors Grandaughter, she fell in love with David a human and was left on Earth, we do not know what happened to her in the Time War) -One of Susans' Children (She had 3 with David according to a novelisation of The Five Doctors) -An unknown possibly new Time Lord that has been brought to Earth by Omega. (Classic! Doctor Who villian http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega_%28Doctor_Who%29)
Found this, really it is just funny: (Bonus the answer to any of these involves a DUCK)
To be safe don't read till you have seen Almost People Warning contains swearing -I linked it rather than hosted.
