So like how many pages did you guys talk through while I was at work? LOTS! Anyway - Cyren I actually love your idea! I was LOLing the whole way through and it wouldn't take too much to do but I think everyone is against you.

I had a thought, you can cosplay anyone you want to as long as they're somehow cosplaying the murder mystery character you've chosen. Does that make sense? Have I already said it - if I have, sorry for repeating myself. Now about choosing characters please can we get the ones in red first - they're the main characters, if you want a secondary character I'll put it as 2nd choice just in case. Also Highlander -you joining us? Or did you post just to poke fun? nyahaha

That sounds sarcastic - or were you being serious? Very hard to tell, but anyway it's true, Kieran and Gergori get killed within the first 15min then you guys spend the next few hrs trying to figure out whodunnit.

But those are the only 2 known murders - how else are you meant to know that a murder has taken place at the ball without actually seeing/hearing about it? But Kieran and Gergori both can have another character to play with after their 'deaths'. I had 2 of my friends play them and 2 others and ended up having a ball!

If it's not made clear here's what happens: Everyone is invited to the ball, at the ball 2 murders take place (that of Kieran and Gergori). Everyone is shocked and dismayed but then set their minds to trying to solve the murder. The people playing Kieran and Gergori can have 2 new characters after they're 1st ones have been murdered - they don't miss out on any of the 'action'. As the game progresses other murders can take place - to either get more info about the murderer (if they know) or to get money. All instructions about commiting murder or anything like that is explained in the character guide booklets you get before the party begins. Make sense? Want to know anything else? Not sure about something.... I'll try and give as much info as possible with out giving away the secrets.

It's ok, it's my fault - I didn't make things clear. The only pre-planned murders are that of Kieran and Gergori, the rest can just happen. Last time I played some of my friends got murdered 2-3 times (meaning they got new characters each time if there were spare). So even if you die you can get reincarnated into another character to keep playing (you just have a few different rules to play by for each new character).

In the studio or out back in the living space/deck but not out the front - way too open and playing by a main rd when it's dark is not actually the best of plans. At least this way we have 3 spaces to play, plot and commit murder in! It's great having that space to do things in!

Yeah, everyone had lots of fun last time so I'm hoping the trend will continue! Just another thought - the time we have for the event (usually roughly takes a few hrs) can include a feast/dinner. Would you guys be interested in this? If we all chip in with something (not nibbles) possibly?

Yes and no to the original characters - I think the best way we've come up to play is pick any cosplay character you'd like and then have them cosplaying as the murder mystery character (so just take the main characteristics of the character and somehow put them into your cosplay...).

Prince Allendro is the current ruler, and they say he is now looking for a mate. Before Vampyr can become true rulers, they must be mated. They, also, reach an age where they face madness if they are not mated.

Gregori grew up as Prince Allendro’s best friend. That friendship ended when the Prince took Cynthia as his Scion. It was expected that Gregori and Cynthia would become mates. As the Prince’s Scion, Cynthia is denied mating.

Bastet has ruled the Were Clans for ages. In recent years, people have begun to doubt her mental stability. She was once a good and kind ruler, but lately she has been making cruel demands and made decisions that have affected the Were Clans adversely. She was once worshipped as a god in Egypt.

Kieran is a sweet girl. She loves books and history. They say she has some magical abilities. Some whisper that her father was one of the Mage Clan, who came to Kieran’s mother in the dark of the night. (Though I can be her as she dies early (she is one of the murders that the mystery is based on), which leaves me free to be MC).

The Inquisitor will be here to investigate the recent Watcher Murders. These spectral beings make even the Immortal with nothing to hide very nervous. Immortals that die become spectral beings until their murderer dies.

MM - they sort of want to find out other stuff then who the Murderer is. There are pretty certificates for best costume, richest player, best performer and for those who solve the murder. I might even have prizes if I can get my A into G for it. Also everyone has secrects they wish to be kept quiet, but it's hard to keep them quiet when schemes are afoot! Ninja Disappear

It's a costume ball so wear anything you like! Just as long as we can tell your clan and character easily (but I will have name tags for everyone for convenience).

Good way to choose as any! Cool! If you think about it and decide that you want to be someone else more then let me know and I'll change it (that goes for everyone else as well!) Also, should we change "good works" to 'good looks' - you are going to be dressed up pretty!
