Cosplay at School Social?

Yes, my intermediate was extremely lame. We also were only allowed to wear certain colour hair ties to match with out uniform. And our socks had to be above the ankle. And only tights, not thigh high stockings. Even if you couldn't tell what they were.

Compared to my college where they got rid of the uniform in the 70s due to a student strike 8D

And we never had mufti days. The uniform was a gray one. Very depressing, but it did match the gray school buildings, also very depressing.

At one stage they decided to enforce garters to hold the socks up. So everyone had thick rubber bands, which they took off in maths class and used to shoot paper around maths class. It did not last long. It was the deputy principles idea. He walked around with a little black book. You were allowed one uniform violation, after that you got detention. Even if it was socks falling down.

Of course the whole of seventh form was mufti.

I only just missed out on that. Thank goodness. We had a drunk for a social studies teacher in form four, who made us write out a summary of news article from the newspaper each week. Most of us found the shortest article possible. But enough of us forgot often enough we would have been caned a lot. (Then there were the two teachers who had nervous breakdowns. One threw a spanner at a kids head once, or that was the rumor.) Boys school, twas depressing, until you got to seventh form.

But maybe we should return the discussion to cosplay in schools soon.

Sounds depressing indeed.

Wonder how many people trained up to be teachers just to wield the stick, then it got banned and it's like HOPES AND DREAMS ALL GONE.
