You can baby sit a 15 year old, but they are not always co-operative. Get double your money up front. The whole dessert discussion I will move back to the Abella Thread, since it only pertains to people in our group.

According to her latest profile 250. She was 13, going to be 14 by Geddon, not sure at the moment.

Also people please just watch the on-topicness. Anything aimed at our little group at Abella (which includes most people in this thread too, but ...) should go in that thread. This thread is for anything aimed at all ChCh people going to Geddon, or inquires about AuckGeddon.

If you read the intro post of the Abella thread you should be able to figure most of it out.

But some details are still being sorted. Most of use are arriving about 7 or 8 am on the Friday, and flying out about 7:30-8:30?pm Monday night. But the cheap seats may be gone on those flights by now?

Most of the group are on Flight Air New Zealand NZ500 going up Friday morning. You may find other details in some early posts in this thread. Failing that PM Firecat or S-in-C, they are going Jetstar?
If going up after school then I plan to be back at the motel by 4pm roughly.
My return flight is Pacific Blue DJ3136 leaving 7:45pm on the Monday. As far as I am aware I am alone. But you could PM Firecat, S-in-C and Mandie or Riven for their details.

So I will book a whole shuttle (Van) for those of us arriving early straight to the motel.

If you arrive later then you choices are taxi (probably uber expensive);
bus to the exchange, transfer to another bus, get off at the right place, and walk a few hundred meters (given I got lost the only time I bused in Auck, and even JVCA? does not like buses even though she lives there!);
or take a super shuttle (or other shuttle). You share those with other people, and so pay less. But then you may have to wait longer while those other people are dropped off at various places.

The motel itself is going to be open for us from 2pm, but if you arrive earlier they will have one room ready for bags. They will have a list of names at the reception so you just say your name.

Since the motel is not going to be open until 2pm we will be in town somewhere, which may be a small hitch for you. But we will exchange cell phone numbers or something.

And I will see you at the party, talk more then.

Um yes I was going to mention that, but information overload. Bottom line for Fred and anybody else (Molly?) who arrives later is super-shuttle. The cheapest option, though may be slower than taxi. The other thing about super shuttle is it is fixed fare. No running meter while in traffic jams. But not sure if more people to the same destination makes it any cheaper. A taxi may be a option for three people, not sure on prices, but just ask a driver when you get there.

And does this mean we are still hoping Jozzle will come?

Maybe, maybe not. Um planes, esp cheap seats, probably filling up fast.

Motel, um depends. If Molly can not come then 100%. But if she can then I need to confirm both you and another person (One has inquired, but a slight complication there, or Jozzle maybe?) before booking the last twin room., assuming it is still available then.
Because of the extra costs of a twin room then I need confirmation for 19 people first.

Un not sure if there is such a thing, but trying to get a venue that accepts underage people. I mean we have 14, 15, 16 year olds with us.

I went karoking with Anne and a whole bunch of other cosplayers a while back. Even though we had under 18s with us they still accepted us. We said we would not drink and we would take full responsibility and it worked. Chch Cosplayers going to Auckgeddon - Page 14 711668

They didn't ID us last time when we went either.
They were even going to let Snow and I buy alcohol but there was no one with an alcohol license there at that time - as long as minors don't try to buy alcohol they normally don't care

My Mum doesn't trust the Christchurch Cosplay Club..

She doesn't believe that if ever get into trouble or lost up there.. she believes that Ch Ch club is the type to not save at all or walk away..
