The first time I played FFVIII and heard Liberi Fatali I was gobsmacked. It was so... different.

That being said, before that I'd only played games like Crash, Spyro, Sonic and Tekken. Luls.

Oooh dude that's cool. Well, they're both from the same tribe and Fang's working for the Sanctum, right? So there's definitely gonna be some conflict there. Oh, well in their personalities too probably. :3

Think so. Vanille seems innocent and naive while Fang seems to have a rough and tough kinda attitude think they might end up being polar opposites. And opposites within the same gender always clash. Though you can also learn alot from your Polar opposite. So maybe in the end Fang and Vanille will become friends. And Vanille will grow tougher mentally and physically and Fang will see a softer side to the world. It's possible these rivals could end up bringing the best out in each other..

If not- eh- there is always war/ action/ dramatic music and more upbeat Latin Music.. =__='';

...I-I think I actually know what you mean xD; Makes it sound a bit... shojo-anime-ish? Maybe. Uh, well the song's really feminine-sounding already (NO DUH FEMALE VOCALIST I know, I know. I mean overall the composition of the song, you know? xD) so the sparkle just makes it... moreso. I don't even know where I'm going with this anymore... orz

Meanwhile, I really like the song 8D I'm really happy that it sounds sort of reminisce of late-90's Cantopop stuff (yeah yeah, me and my Cantopop again ahaha). I kind of lol when she sings "Be my friend" though. Sort of cheesy... But I give it ****1/2 (out of five stars. Generous...? hurr). I love her voice, it's very clear and 'pure' if that makes sense.

OH LOL the sparkly sound. Maybe there are vampires in the game somewhere... I don't mind the song. Actually, I quite like it. I'm more fond of the orchestral stuff in FF games to be honest, Eyes on Me is the only one that holds a special place in my heart Very Happy

I'm finding the song pretty... weird.. maybe because is so used to Final Fantasy theme songs being about love..
or even love- break up, expect from Final Fantasy V- which was Bartz being happy about his home. xD

But since FF2 most of the main FF songs have been about love, and this song seems to be about Friendship..
So It's kinda .... strange..

Just to throw this back onto topic. Did anyone else notice the change in Lightning's character design? This was actually a while ago now but w/e. She got more... feminine :) Her hair used to be a darker shade (almost reddish) and her face had a stronger jawline, but now it's the pinky colour and her face is thinner.

I like both designs! I think I might actually prefer original Lightning a little more. She looks... Tougher? Although new Lightning looks meaner.

Gosh, Squeenix love their light haired protagonists, don't they?

Lol @ the original, look at her face without the hair and then look at Cloud Advent Children face without the hair.
Reckon that it's the exact same face, maybe they used Clouds face as a rough baseline. Then again SE did say that they were going to make Lighting a Female Cloud Strife, but in one of the interviews SE said that Yun Fang used to be a male character and Lighting had more sexual appeal, and they gave that sexual appeal more to Yun Fang and made him a attractive woman..
