Meet-up Possibility?

Yeah... I timed it.

I live up in Miramar heights and the bus that comes up here goes the long way around to get anywhere. It took exactly an hour to get to the train station. But if you get a slow and cautious driver it's even longer...

I don't mind though, I just listen to my ipod and dance on the bus for practice. XD

Wow, impressive.

My school bus does that. It windes its say through Thorndon, Wadestown, Wilton and then Northland and takes 40 minutes to get to my stop, but if I catch the normal bus from town then it takes on 20 minutes. So I pretend the school bus doesn't exsist and I don't take it 8D;;

Buses are great when you don't have a car XD and don't want to pay parking.

Mp3 players are also a godsend lol

Yeah, I drive...but buses are nice when you don't feel like paying for gas. Then again gas has gone down plenty X3 Makes me happy.

Lawlz, nice.

I almost got hit by a bus the other day because it was in a hurry or something. I got off at my stop took a step because they usually let me cross before going, but this lady didn't. The bus was so close it actual hit against my bag.

And I just realized I have to take the number 2 because the slow one doesn't go on the weekends...so I'll be there on time after all.

That is one significant point of difference in NZ. NEVER cross in front of the bus....

I've heard in america thats the norm for school kids, in NZ it's the opposite, if you cross in front of the bus you're just about asking to be run over. That and none of the traffic coming up alongside the bus can see you, hence the crossing behind the bus.

Our street is very slow and I checked for cars before crossing, but yeah. Now I'm terrified to cross when a bus is anywhere in the area.

I don't know why anyone would walk in front of a bus, really. I mean, mine always drives off the second I get off, so I don't even have a chance to walk infront of it xDD. And yet every so often you hear of someone getting hit by one ...

I think it's because school buses wait for you and have the little stop sign that comes up so everyone stops for you...

Yeah... that's America tho. We class it as strange.

I have heard that yeah if you drive past a stopped bus in America they pretty much lynch you. In NZ if a bus is pulled over you drive past it since anyone crossing walks to the back of the bus before crossing and oncoming traffic can see them.

Always been one of those weird differences i've wondered about.

Yeah. It's a law that you can't drive past a bus when it's stopped (not sure if it's just school buses or buses in general though) unless there is a highway island between you two. Hurray for knowing the laws of the road! -ish shot-
