[MWCCB] What about a mid-winter Christmas Party?

My work did one last year and it was lots of fun ^.^ Plus being from the States I feel like I'm living in Narnia during the winter time (always winter, never Christmas!! >.<) So this would give me something to look forward too. I thought we could also do a present game, not like a secret santa but I used to ply this game on New Years wehere each family member would bring a random cheap gift and we'd play this card game a steal the presents off eachother so everyone has something different in the end. I'll ask my mom about the rules because I can't remember how it was played I was very little :)

i'd definately come XD it sounds awesome ... but yeah what time of the year because this year will be a hell of busy year for me trying to survive 1st year law

preferably during the holidays or the weekends =D

Ooh. Sounds good. But since it's a party, does that mean it's indoors? I mean, it rains quite a lot during winter, doesn't it? If indoors, where will it be held? Somebody's house? An empty church? Skytower? The Auckland Museum? WHERE?

@Aurellion: lol yes i did do maths in high school it was mandatory and i also did furthur maths (calculus, differentiation, that kind of thing) i still got the ncea book my brother got last time lol .... i did o levels XD

also depends on what stream youre in ... i was in the science one ... so yeah i major in chemistry XD

last time the AUT anime club (now dead I would think since I no longer have any motivation or time and because the captain is ... I wonder if she forgot ... lol I was like Kage no King) we hired out a suite in Skycity

but because this is a cosplay party I think renting out a hall should be a good idea

Another thing I really wanna do is have a cosplay ball - you know, fancy dresses, prom type thing - maybe this could be a midwinter cosplay ball? o_O

lmao i think a ball would be a rather big thing to plan and to put into motion

but because ive never been to one i wouldnt know

Lol, I was actually thinking of the Cockle Bay School Hall when I suggested it. Main reason because the lunchroom ordering thing place connects to the hall, so we'd have a fridge, and possibly even an oven. o_O It's nice and big too. Very Happy

And they have hired it out in previous years - the only issue would really be that it's not exactly central. o_O

As for the ball - I like the idea because it's quite independant design thing - you pick a character, and design and make an outfit that they might wear to a ball - not like a high school dance-techno music type ball, but the kind of Ball you might see on Ouran Host Club, or like the one in Anastacia. Like, elegant type thing, and pretty and wonderful. <3
