[MWCCB] What about a mid-winter Christmas Party?

Yeah, an entry fee sounds reasonable... But will it be a set price, or depending on the amount of people. (as in, if it's a set price, the person who hires the hall might earn some money if there's the amount of people paying overpowers the cost of the hall.) (and if it's depending on the people, we'll divide the cost of the hall by the amount of people) Y'know.. ^0^

I think set cost, with RSVP so we don't overcharge. The issue with the second version is people won't know how much money to bring. o_O;

as nice as it is (and i agree it would be AWESOME to take pictures there) but its a HUGE place ... says it can accomadate up to about 350 >.>;;

i would think it would be a bit expensive ... but you can always call them here 09-846 7367

lmao if you can help me revive it XD but highly unlikely to be revived ... anytime soon anyways lol XD

yeah we hired out a suite ... came to about $300 so we had everyone chip in about $20 and there was about ... 15 people i think ... i can't remember ... but it was crazy because everywhere there were people just watching anime and people's laptop's dvdroms working overdrive burning DVDS lol XD but it was fun ... admittedly though i had one hour of sleep that day and fell asleep watching reruns of FMPFumoffu XD

the price of the suite depends on how busy and how early your reservation is ... but I personally don't think getting a hotel suite is ideal though ... i think it kind of defeats the purpose of cosplaying but then again i could be wrong ...

My mom e-mailed me the rules for that card game:

The game is very simple. You need two decks of cards. You pass around the first deck as far as it goes. If you have more than 10 people, though, you will probably need to play two games. Then the caller calls out each card from the second deck. The person with that card picks a gift from the eight to ten gifts on the floor. Once those gifts are exhausted, then you pick from the people who have the gifts. When the deck is finished, that's the end.

It's heaps of fun, and if everyone brings a small gift, doesn't have to be much at all, we can play in a bunch of small groups ^.^

And if we have to hire a place, it's probably better that you organise it anyway- I doubt many function place owners would be happy with a 16 year old like me ringing up and asking to book their million dollar mansion or whatever. I'll prolly need your help, no doubt. I think I may need to get numbers before we look at booking places, will I need somewhere for 20, or 50? it makes a big difference. I'm hoping it will be like june, july, and I'm hoping for a ball, I really liked the idea of everyone designing something that thier favorite character might wear to a ball, I already have mine planned out lol. What do you guys think? When are school holidays for everyone? Would it be ok for it to be an evening thing instead of a day time thing? Let me know, I want input Very Happy

Evening would be best, as it would be dinner, and that's more ball like, lol. YAY BALL! I wanna do a Rosso one... o_O I'm really not sure about numbers, 'coz we thought we'd have 50 for ACP, but ended up with about 35 instead, so... yeah. Ionno on that one... I'm pretty sure the school holidays are in June - hang on - correction, school holidays (at least for my school) are Saturday 5 July - Sunday 20 July. o_O

I'm assuming that you want the cosplay ball thing explained rather than what a mid-winter christmas is, but let me know if it was something else you wanted explained. o_o;;

A cosplay Ball is a theme cosplay gathering, where you pick a character and design a ball costume for them - think like the ball in Anastacia or in Cinderella, rather than like a school disco thing - there may not even be dancing, lol, it's just the theme for designing the costumes by.
