I would love to help but seeing what you guys are doing is making my head hurt. If there's anything you think i might be able to do give me a buzz. Nothing to complimicated or I'll probs fail and ruin the whole thing for everyone... But yeah i have to much free time so if something trivial needs to be done but you have no time what with all the important stuff i could give it a try and i think I'm just repeating myself a bit here but you get the gist hopefully..

Yeah, I'm thinking we wont get started until lunchish... and Sat afternoon sounds good to me, also since we can stay in town and get dinner.
But first gota find where the exactly camp is, cause it would be logical to stop at the camp drop everything off then go to carny ... BUT... that depends on the distance.

I wish I could but most of my workmates are getting time off so It would be streching it a bit to ask but I may be able to ask if I can have a few days off maybe.

oi jp, you seem to be in the know, what are the criteria for renting a car?
i assume that if you have your full license it's a-okay? or do you have to have had it for x amount of years?
'cause i'm going to have my full in time for this thing now, it's just a matter of getting a vehicle 'cause my subbie isn't avaliable until late jan & i know some people in dunedin will have trouble getting up there.

edit; looking at http://www.rhodesrentals.co.nz/ it seems all i need is the full license and i can rent the car- looks like it'll be about $219 to rent it + insurance in total, + petrlol.

so, um. i guess i can give dunners people a ride then!

Anyways, Yeah, once you have your full license it makes it a bit easier. Your age may still make them raise the question, but if you're prepared to pay the additional insurance you should still squeeze through. I know when i raised ages during the initial queries it sounded like they prefer min age 20, but they can be a bit flexible on that.

well i have a clean driving record (no demerits or tickets) & i will be 18 at the time... ah well. i hope i can convince them. :>

3rd/4th of Jan is the date that's being worked on at the moment. Unless there's some overriding reason thats basically where it settled. Still got some issues to work through aswell. But that date is more or less the target.

as for the okonomiyaki - OUSHI!!! next time you're in auck you have to try it, this stuff is actually incredible. It's a place called Genta. Only $12. I know where it is, but don't have the address. soz. sad

As for the okonomiyaki, i've only heard of it previously courtesy of Ranma 1/2 anime. But Alena pointed it out on the walk and said they had really good okonomiyaki - she wasn't kidding, this stuff is incredible! I got the pork one. There's a lil bit on it at the following sites:

lol, i thought the idea behind the tip jar was that you got to split the tip money between the employees, and the 'work shout' was work actually paying to take you all out... but that might just be me. :p

k, i'm gonna head to bed anyways. one of the guys is picking me up tomorrow morning to take me in to the auck office, work there for the day, then a lift out to the aiport and back home. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed, although I will say the two single beds they've got joined together to make my 'double' makes for a really freaking big bed. Makes me wonder what sleeping in a king or super kings like. Razz
