I am currently working on two costumes for Auckgeddon and am thinking of doing a third...

@Azeria Yup the purple is just good old fabric paint.

@Seraphik The Foil is Jones Tones Foil Paper you can buy tiny sheets of it at Spotlight but I had to import a 50ft roll to get the amount I needed and not go broke O_o You just apply the glue, wait for it to almost be dry (or use a hair dryer) and rub it on. It's awesome because you can use it on fabric (and most other mediums) and it moves with the fabric and can be washed.

So after taking a bit of a break I am going to try and get back into the swing of things...

right now I want to work on the female sanji I have in my signature (middle costume).

One of my contest pieces this year is going to be Big Sister from bioshock 2

One of the reasons I am really keen to do this is because I want the challenge of constructing something rather that mostly sewing.

So far I have already made the shorts and am currently working on the giant syringe (which is using a bit of reference from the concept art, in game shots and the figurine) I will be posting progress shots soon :)

However I am also finding myself rather obsessed with the hobbit right now and am trying to convince myself I want to become a dwarf (especially because I want to play around with facial hair)... I was considering just making up a female dwarf design ( because they still have facial hair and looked like the men when they went out in public). But that fact that I want to put a lot of effort into it makes me want to make it another contest piece (meaning I need a pre established design)...This means I am going to make me a Fili

So I started making the giant syringe for big sisters arm. made an arm bracer out of Warbles finest art and omg I love this stuff...I find it easier to heat up and mold than wonder flex plus it doesn't get as hot so I could mold it straight on my arm.

The giant syringe had been a great deal of fun, so far it has been made out of cardboard tubes, foam, some thick card and some random plastic rods for the needle. It was then plastered in a million layers of gesso, sanded (roughly because I wanted it to look worn out) and painted (my fav part)

Now moving on to put it all together plus making all the vials that go on it...hoping to have LED lights in the vials so they glow.

Almost finished the syringe...just need to add another eyelet, add the pieces to cover the end of some of the straps and then finish painting (i'll probably add some more rivets for security as well)...the bottle will have coloured water (and possibly a glow stick) added to it when it is worn

Already started on the other arm brace. Proving to be annoying as I can't get reference images from certain angles so I am having to fudge some of the details.

Also finally found a ball that is the right size so I can start work on the helmet :)

Been chipping away at this thing...

did a whole lot of paper mache to make the helmet base and have been making the tank.
The tank base is two layers of cardboard with a layer of plastic board on top (and foam board circles places inside to give it stability). Then the details wre just more cardboard (and as you can see a crap load of masking tape).

Also started making the parts the helmet connects to... Put down a base layer of plasterbandages and am going to start building on top of it.

Been having fun just piecing random things together Razz

Wow, this is looking ridiculously amazing so far, like, the details, the construction, everything is looking beyond awesome. I am REALLY looking forward to seeing the finished result. To which geddon shall you be wearing your big sister.

still chugging.

Finished making the base for the chest piece so now i can start adding details (wooohhhhh craft foam) then paint it.
It was made with a mix of paper mache, cardboard, craft foam, expanding foam and PolyFiller.
I think I have it worked out how I am attaching the Tank but making it so I can actually take it off during the day O_o

Started one of the shoulder pieces which is made out of Worblers finest, plastic tubing and random things I found at Petes emporium Razz

Also Finished the Syringe, the red pieces can be turned as well XD.

GAHH!! It's looking so bloody awesome!! I'm bragging to all my friends that I know a person who is doing a bi sister cosplay and it is as acurate as this stuff gets. Everything is looking so good!!!
Question though, how much does that head piece weigh?? lol. It looks like one heavy mofo

As for how mich it weighs the helmet by itself is light as heck at the moment (probably notmpnceo add the details though)
When it is all being worn it doesn't feel that heavy however it is the tank that is the heaviest part and it tends to pull everything back, to fix this I actually have fishing weights in the front of the helmet and will be putting more in the front chest piece. Without the tank everything is pretty light.

At e point where I am staring to freak out and hoping I have enough time to get it finished in time for wellygeddon o_O
