Been working on Eep... Bought some white fur and dyed it orange (yeah stovetop method) and am now smothering it in fabric paint. Still need to buy some fabric for the details (plus put of bit of length on the skirt which is amazing short at the moment) and need to make some shorts for underneath...

Took a photo because my wig just arrived and I think it is awesome!

More stuffs

I have pretty much found a way to keep the tank secure but making it so it can be easily taken off so I don't have to wear it all day ( plus worked out the weight issue so it isn't back heavy) just have to make sure it still works once the cages on (but the cage will be pretty light)

Okay my fingers are really sore at the moment...
But after 2 broken machine needles, 1 broken sewing needle, 2 bent sewing needles and a day and a half the corset is nearly done.
Just have to put eyelets in it, trim the edges of the belts and put in some proper lacing and it is done.
Proud of this baby, I drafted the pattern from scratch, it has boning and its made out of (as well as everything else) upholstery material (thus the broken and bent needles... Hand sewing parts was a jerk)

Plus the shorts are 99.99% done, just have to add a hook and eye in.

Oh my goddd Abby I can't get over this costume! You have done such an incredible job, everything just looks immaculate! And will until you grime it all up haha, when it will look disgusting and AWESOME.

Not so exciting photos this time

Finished attaching the cage to the tank as well as applying the basic colour. Also added the top piece and once that is fully painted ( waiting for the gesso to dry) I can start grunging the tank.

The cage is a bit smaller that it should be but that is mainly for con safety as I a. Don't want people running into it and b. don't want to be running into people/things due to my lack of vision o_O. It is made out of card board and is attached by drilling holes I the tank and hot gluing everything.

Now onto the leg bracers. I am having such a hard time finding a pair of boots I can use... Bought a pair off trademe that were perfect except for the fact they are too small sad

But have just bought another pair that will hopefully be better as I have the same foot measurement as the seller XD

Finished the other arm piece today and am really happy with it. Am having to limit myself to crud I can find around the house to make things now as I am really low on funds.
To name a few things that actually make up this thing we have a hello kitty chopstick, the lid from a can of spray paint, the nozzle from a can of expanding foam and a piece of a my little pony toy.

Have started on the leg braces and am foreseeing many issues.

Also got some red Perspex to replace the red cellophane in the helmet.

Thank you :) I'm entering this in the wellygeddon comp so the pressure is on to get it finished. Have to enter it in welly as there is no way I could easily travel with it XD

Big Sister is getting so close to being finished, I officially only have to make the white shirt then the rest is painting and attaching things.

Right leg is almost finished (just need to adjust the top belts and add another belt to the shoe)... I can even bend my legs and sit down in these things.

Well there is a bit of a mix going on. The straight pieces and circles are thick cardboard with a layer of plastic on top (actually its old plastic guttering). The upper armour is worbler and the lower armour is a thinner cardboard.

Holy crud I actually finished in time.

Am really happy with how the Big Sister came out in the end. Apart from losing a few of the nuts on top of some screws ( had extras and it didn't affect anything) only had one thing fall off ( the blue vial on the syringe). Have a few things I want to tidy up and I still want to add some LED lights. I also forgot my arm bands on the day sad

Your Big Sister cosplay came out so wonderfully ;_; Mind if I ask how you did the red visor? And the sort of segmented pipe-y thing around the visor section of the helmet? I've got similar pieces in a couple of upcoming cosplays and I'm stumped on how to do them.

The red is actually two layers of Perspex that have been glued o side the helmet ( bought it off trademe from a seller who cuts to size).

Do you mean the pipe that wraps around the visor and rectangle pieces? That is a plastic pipe that has had masking tape wrapped around it for each bump... Took a while and a lot of masking tape but it was a cheap way of doing it XD

Just adding my two cents for Maddi's sake - when I made my Zero mask I bought two widths of tubing - one that fit inside the other. I then cut the bigger size into 1cm long pieces and threaded them onto the smaller tube, spacing them evenly. :3 Might be a slightly less time consuming way of doing it! Very Happy
