| Leather work complete! Check it out:

My main reference picture:  Belt, with attachment points for straps:  Straps for attaching the armour:  Vest front:  The lacing in the front is also leather. It has an amazing 3d look to it, which the camera doesn't capture. Vest back:  It laces up like a corset, so I will require an assistant to put it on. And altogether:  As you may be able to tell, I didn't have anyone to tie the vest up at the back for this photo
Lessons learned from leather-working:
- Leather is expensive. The toolkit is expensive, hides are expensive, chemicals and oils are expensive.
- It is easier to measure and cut than fabric. Patterns are simpler too.
- Seams and edges are much more difficult than in fabric.
- But it's durable, comfortable, and looks great.
- Not to mention extraordinarily versatile.
Now I have 2.5 months to do the armour, the cape, find some boots, and order a wig (since I have no hair of my own). |

I still lack the sword prop.. 
Edit: Decided to leave the sword prop out, and make the bag, put stuff in it so it seems like I have the sword. xD;
It's not like I'm gonna burst into flames and grow super long elf ears if I unsheath it anyways LOL.
Ordered a Naruto wig and costume for my little brother! (Who's actually almost as tall as me, and he's 10..)
Hopefully he'll enjoy cosplaying for his first time. c: |

It's all made from EVA foam. Sealed with PVA glue, painted with acrylic, and varnished.
In other news, my wig and boots have arrived, and the cloak is nearly done. I expect to finish the costume this weekend.

| HAH I CAN FINALLY CONTRIBUTE AGAIN!
I've been excited to make this for awhile and my fabric arried today wooooo.
Pretty good for an afternoon/nights work! I've also cut and overlocked almost all the bows just need to put them together, I also styled her wig :B

 And I'll put some excuses about bathroom lights and fabric not being that shiny and blah blah blah.
Still need to add the foamy roll parts to it with sleeves and all the bows and things and shorten the skirt but I should be done like tomorrow if I go fast XD
