Wig wrong colour, need help deciding what to do

So I got this wig on ebay just over a week back and it arrived this afternoon, it's soft, lovely, doesn't tangle easy etc etc etc.

Buuuut it's not the colour it appeared to be on screen and now I don't know what to do with it, except selling, it's pretty and I want it. I was going to use the wig minus pigtails for Virgo and with for Takagi but it's way way too orangy for either of them so I was wondering if you guys had any ideas on other characters I could use it for or if you know a thing or two about sharpie dying and wether the colour pink the maid in my signature has for hair is acheiveable (I've no issues with buying a new one if this isn't).

I have but I would have to pay postage for the wig to be sent back, not so keen on that and if I need darker coloured pigtails one day I'd rather have one in the closet I could dye if I can't find someone to use it for.

Ah~ Thats true. I was just thinking about how last month I bought a wig and got sent one that had wefts falling out the back, and they sent me a new wig and told me to keep the one that was faulty.

idk about being able to dye it the colour you want, as it seems to generally be you can dye darker than the wig already is :>

This, is an excellent suggestion.
I do have Princess Tutu wig already, really wish I didn't because a) it was annoying to do and b) the costumes has been at 20% complete for almost a year now and I'm playing the 'ignore the costume even exists' game D=

That's a really nice seller to do that, I'll probably buy my replacement from cosplay wig though as I love their wigs

I guess you could sharpie dye it, but I'm not sure what Sharpie colour would work best to get the pink you want. If you do opt for the Sharpie colour, I'd suggest snipping a tiny bit of your wig off and get a lock, take it to somewhere like Paperplus or Whitcoulls, and just stand at the pens aisle Sharpie-ing the lock of wig to see which colour works best. :)

I hear there's an acrylic paint and water type way of tinting/dyeing wigs, not sure how effective it is, but it sounds worth googling...

Thanks, I'll give both these a go with the off cuts from when I cut the fringe, hopefully I'll end up with darker than what I origionally wanted yet still alright colour with one of them.

If not chances are I'm dying it black, getting one longer clip in ponytail and cosplaying BRS
