Best way to thin out a wig?

I'm a n00b so I'm not sure how to thin out my new wig. I got one from crazysales and they are really nice and thick, but I need it thinner for my haruhi cosplay. What is the best way to thin it out? I don't have thinning scissors or anything mind you...

Thinning scissors. THEY ARE GOD TO ALL WIGS.
Especially if you have a chaotic Miku wig, snip snip snip

my hairdresser is amazing (ppl say theirs never gets it right well mine does) anyways she used thinning scissors to lop off my long really thick hair in 10 min. Srsly thats a short time. Makes thinnning wigs out easily.

Bt you must be sure to layer the wig or it won't be as effective

You can sometimes find them at your dollar store but theyre usually really crappy ... I got mine from my mum (who used to be a hairdresser) depending on how soon you need them, if they still stock it the $3.50 Japan store in Auckland stocks them (I think ... they've changed stock now so I'm not too sure) but if they have them I can send you a pair.

Quality quarenteed. I got my regular hair cutting scissors from them. Unfortunately they dont stock thinning blades anymore so poop.

Also if you're looking online for them, they're also known as keyhole scissors
