Yes Telecom. I hate you, but if you don't bring back the beanbags, I'll hate you more. but not the energy wasting lights. those were gaudy and unpleasant.

I recall that at the last meet up, i was all "LOLOLOLOLTELECOM IS LOSING HEAPS OF MONEY RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THEIR SYSTEMS ARE BROKEN".

And of course "OH GOD physics THAT'S HOT" whenever I accidentally touched the black bits

I would like to chime in that early December (but after the 3rd) would be best for me, as my course hasn't quite finished yet. Why does polytech keep weird term dates?

Also, some other people I know who are interested in coming along (but haven't been able to be persuaded to get accounts yet) either can't make a Sunday/won't be back in the country until the second week of December.

The 6th or the 13th are the earliest available sundays in december, and the 6th is the most immediate after exams

My restaurant is closed on Sundays, so they work for me fine. My sister's 22nd bday party is on the 11th of Dec, but I'll still come along even if I'm hungover as hell. :)

Urhurhur. I was lucky in that I scored a research position where I make my own hours.
So I can most likely make it. But I'm also applying for another job so that's uncertain.

Also either FMA or no-cosplay for me, as I am actually broke. I have like, $2 in my wallet sad

But, suggestions. What are we going to do if its a hirrible day?

If the weather is horrible ... IDK. Have a rained-out date? xD I forget what they are called xD. But it's getting into Summer, so the weather should be good.

"Rain plan". Or "contingency plan". I guess it depends on what we're doing or what there is to do around the time. Actually, I still wanted to compile a list of indoor and outdoor things one can do around Wellington, so... Rock-climbing, anyone? lulz. If there are any good films out at the time, that's always an option too.

Actually I generally find our summers are pretty erratic. This is one of the nicest, consistently-weathered summers we've had in a little while, I think! Which is great for we who like to laze around in the sun and talk (one of my favourite things, haha).

Last year we had it on December 6 which was a Sunday (is it odd that I remember the date?) and that seemed to suit most people. A Sunday again mayhaps?

I really like just hanging around and talking C:
What about Sunday the 12th of December?
On the 5th I think my dad is planning to do something with me for my birthday, so not that Sunday xD.
And I think 12th is nicely not too early and not too late.
Was this going to be cosplay? I CAN'T REMEMBER. But it would be cool, I seem to have a backlog of cosplays, lol.

But uh... would this get together merit a post over at the LJ cosplaypicnicnz comm?
I know there are few people around Wellington who are LJ only/like to have a non-forum post to show to friends and there was a post for 2008's plushie picnic asking for input on dates and times. (The plushie picnic was also on the 6th (a Saturday), amusingly enough.)
And I hate seeing the comm gather cobwebs.

This year is a La Niña year, which means warm, fine weather, though with an increased chance of tropical cyclones.
The metservice ten day forecast currently looks good for that first week of December though, sunwise, though it does look a bit breezy. There is also a freaking huge high that looks as if it won't be budging for a while, but perhaps weather watching should be done a bit closer to the time... *remembers the cosplay picnic*

LIES. You have an LJ so you at least used to go on.

Anyway, I've made the post here and hopefully haven't flubbed it up too much.

During writing that post though and filling out the 'things that are optional, but you can still bring' section, I was kind of wondering if anyone would be able to bring stuff like small, toassable beanbags and balls to widen the variety of games we could play. Catch is always kind of fun after all.
