@Pyro: 1000 cranes?! You are insane woman, I'm amazed that you managed to make all 1000 of them! Shocked

I made my first mock up of Gwendolyn's headpiece, the shape and design is right but the feathers are wonky and I definitely need more layers of them. (You can see the cardboard and glue *Is using cardboard for mock up*). sweatdrop

I want to change the way I lay them out/what shape I arrange them in too as there is a better way to do it. It's going to be impossible to find feathers the exact shape so I might have to butcher some different feathers to get the shape I want. :think:

I have guns for Squirtle =D Six little water guns the size of my hand and a toy pistol. the six water guns are gonna have hidden pockets in the shell and the pistol's going into a leg hostel.

Almost finished the Dragon Slayer. Living at work and fracturing my wrist hasn't help complete it.
All I need to do now is sand and paint the pommel, and brush off the dust and varnish.

Re: Cranes I have a collection of several hundred xD. One day I will actually make it to 1000 xDD. I started when I was 11 or something xD. Haven't made any in YEARS.
I also had a friend who made whenever her hands were free (much to the annoyance of teachers, lol) she has around 20000. Yes. THAT many. She strung them onto string and hung them all around her room xD

And to stay on topic: I changed what Miku version I'm doing for the halloween/christmas party, so I've started her dress~ (because I have spare material I can use, so I'll save money C: )

With only a week left to finish, trousers and pretty much done, just hemming to do, vest pieces have been sewen together but, to save money, risking a diferent color as the lining, so it will have to be very neat. ~ determined to finish the 2 pieces this weekend Smile

Following that have a Cravat to make. A wide ribbon may do?

A few hours ago I spent time looking for gold thread. I know it was for something but I forgot what it was >.<

I did however find a lot of other materials/threads/sequins in my search. And I just brought some material so I can begin making my Lelouch cosplay soon~

So I had a good weekend for cosplay progress. On saturday I went to Bunnings to find the plastic needed for my Sera Myu! Eternal Moon wings - a little bit expensive but it's a must. I also found the red ribbon in the right width for Usagi's High School uniform (yay for Kmart!). On the down side I discovered that the material I needed for my 3 skirts had riun out and the store isn't getting any more in - so more typres material to find and buy online.

Today I went to Spotlight and got all the material for Usagi's High School uniform so I can make a start on that next weekend. I also discovered that Spotlight doesn't sell fine glitter any more along with other craft stuff I need to make the 2 brooches so I need to see if my aunt or friend can get some of that from overseas.

Curtains are awesome sources of funky fabric ;) I've made more than a few items from new and thrift store furnishings...

About 200 leaves made (cut, sewn and ironed individually) for the Mina dress. about 50 more to hand sew- the tiny little ones for the neck.
