It's about 3-4mm thick (which is actually quite thick when you think of it as a material) and somewhat difficult to move in as it's rather sturdy. My main issue with it is that there was no way I could have made it to put on easily and since craft foam can't stretch (although it can flex) I actually have to slip into it and try pull it off my body to get out.

I agree. I think it looks awesome. xD Much better than anything I could do. But my above question still bites away at me. xD

I don't get that impression myself- it looks quite solid to me. Tin foil would be more reflective and couldn't bear the weight of the staples, much less the sections underneath.

Didnt know craft foam could *sparkle* -nice work, it looks good on you.

Im running into similar probs with my Cyborg armour, how I put it on and take it off
can get tricky, but I'm probably gonna do a similar job to what you've done. Thanks for posting the pics as it gives me inspiration for how I want to do my own one.

P.S. What are you using to stick the edges together? I was thnking of using velcro, but I struggled with sticking it onto the craft foam.

If you're referring to the bias, it's glued on using foam glue. Everything else is literally held together with staples. But yeah, the issue with that is that it doesn't come apart. Like I mentioned earlier, I have to slip it on and remove it like a singlet that can't stretch.

My old Kenshin armour stuck on to my cosplay using velcro, but I wasn't able to have the edges join together. I have issues with that too.

Base of bootcovers finished tonight! I'm happy with the second one I made, but not so much with the first.
The height difference of the yellow heel I'm also dissatisfied with.... if I do have time I'll go back and remake that one.

8DD Thanks! I've put it aside to work on Len now, offically finished the dress, made the bow last night, all thats left now is the sleeve and corset. working on the corset tonight as I'm still waiting on getting some ribbon for it :C But yay! Nearly done!
