Costume of my own design for a Larp. It's sposed to be Arabian based. The bright bits at the side are the insides of the sleeves pinned facing forwards so you can see them. Belt started life on a hand-loom, migrated to be attached to a chair, then I gave up on weaving entirely and braided the rest.

Still need to hem and sew lace on my dress for the ACP, but I can't for another two hours because the bobbin on my sewing machine is jammed and only my mom seems to be able to fix it when that happens, and she's asleep... *twitch* I should rest, but I'm too busy...

Caterina progress, aww yeah! (please ignore the poor photo quality, my digital camera is dead and my webcam is all I've got)

I've painted in the remainder of the design on the skirt edge, and used a zig-zag stitch to hem it more betterer.

Unpicked the hat from its base, and removed the front sigil-- I'm going to find something sturdier for a base soon, and redo all the details. Except for the applique on top-- that turned out well, and it's one of the few things about the hat I like!! I also pulled off the arrows, and I'm going to make new ones and reattach them where the old ones were-- yaaay~

Progress on Van!
I got the green shoulder parts done. Yesterday I put the red bits onto them and down the sides.
Just over a week ago I finished the boots. They are made from my old school shoes with a new cover attached with pins around the edge of the sole and then the grey felt is glued on. (Side note: Hot glue works very well on fabric. Can't be pulled apart with out damaging it)

I decided to have a mini photo shoot tonight:

I needed two hands to hold the fabric and one for taking the picture, but since I have the normal human number of aforementioned appendages, I had to substitute one of the fabric hands with... my mouth. Hence odd expressions. xDDD

Thanks guys!! I really appreciate the encouragement! It's the first time I've ever done anything like it so it was trial and error.

Mischa - That pouch looks awesome!!! If I saw it IRL I'd steal so quickly you wouldn't even know I was there!! Razz

Karianna - I love the shine they have!! And those look like they would have been very fiddly to cut out.

Pyro - I second Lummy; love the expression! :p

Roy - it's like a flash from one of my fav childhood shows has popped up!! You look exactly like Van!! Well done!!
