FMA anime sequel?!

Well apparently in April at the beginning of the year news leaked that
Fma was going to have a sequel -and like most people, I brushed it off.

Then.. when reading a chapter of Fma a couple of months ago, (because
it comes out monthly) the cover read that a new anime was coming out. ninja

So.. this time I didn't brush it off because, well. it was on the
freakin' cover!! Then I go and tell Xinaliia and she's all 'I hope it's
not true, they'll mess it up because they've already finished it -what
with the movie and all.' and I had to agree. nodnod

But now it's confirmed and there's actually teasers. Apparently the first one came at the end of Gundam 00!!? Exclamation

And they're somehow going to follow the manga more closely...

I too wonder how they'll carry on the anime with the way it ended.

Well kind of positive that the series might go well and may go well- didn't enjoy the first series, but willing to try the second..

Yeah I heard a while ago too, what pisses me off is the fact that I forked out money to buy it on dvd as each vol was released and now they have te gal to release the 'manga version' it annoys me to heck.

Not like hellsing ultimate, because the anime was only 4 dvd's and thats not too bad, plus ultimate is shaping up well too, but fma was 13 dvds. 13 times $40 = 520 + the extra 10 for the 2 volumes I got with tins making it $540 + 50 more for the special ed of CoS making it a further $590 (They sold out of the first one x.x) then they announce another series x.x

Wow, that's a point. That's alot of money. Mine was less though. I got two volumes for $10 each, and three for $20 each. *bargain whore*

so no one else was incredibly excited that they were going to follow the manga?
I mean the manga is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the anime.
So I'm really looking forward to this.

As a manga reader... I have to agree with you the manga is just plain awesome. I like the anime style a
very slight bit better but the story is a million times better than the anime! nodnod

But
I kind of viewed the anime and manga differently (as if they were seperate stories entirely) because the storylines
were soo different. But the studio, Bones, is really good at animating
and they always tend to surprise me.. so maybe the anime might be good.
(I've still got a feeling it could be the total opposite though. ^^;)

RAH! I was so uber-excited when I heard about this, because I SEVERLY DISLIKED the way the first anime just went off and did it's own thing.
'it's own thing' ended up far, far inferior to the manga, ~~and I'm not even going to mention the movie. *deep breath* I have let it go.~~

RAH! WE GET TO SEE LING~ AND MEI~ AND EPIC HAVOC WILL BE EPIC!

I liked the anime.
like a lot.

then i read the manga and just realized how much better it was, and i don't care what any one else says I like second Greed better than first Greed.

I remember hearing about this when the rumors first started (good old ANN)

I for one am looking forward to it, from what I've heard it will be a complete remake of the 2nd half of the series (so it will diregard the anime ending and movie)

I love FMA, always did, always will, I got a bit sick of the hype about it but I am glad to have more XD (cos I'm greedy)

I am all totally up for this!
I can't wait to see all the manga only characters!
Plus, the art style of it looks to be more like the manga as well, so much love for that there too.

I plan to eventually get both versions of the anime, both have their own merits, in my opinion. The first anime itself did have some touching moments not in the manga, and vice versa.
