Have any of you guys seen the yugioh series 5ds?? It is available in subbed form on youtube (so watch it before 4kids destroys it with their bad dub).

For those fo you that have missed 5ds and the build up to it. The show follows Yusei Fudo a 17 year old duelist living in the slums of "Neo-Domino" called satelite where the people are considered 2nd class citizens and are forced to work recycling the trash from neo domino. Yusei gets fed up with this and decides to take up the life of a renegade duelist and sneaks into neo domino with his deck to take on his opressors.

The major difference is that most of the duels are taken part on motorbikes with duel disks attached called a D-Wheel. Your life points designates the top speed of your bike so the objective of the bike duels is to make your opponents bike stop working. It sounds weird but it works strangely enough.

For those of you who like myself play the card game the show introduces two new types of cards. the syncros and the tuners. they effectively work as a fusion without having to use polymerisation and spacific cards to pull it off. This new style of play has already taken the local leauge by storm with more and more people rocking up to hobby leauge with their own take on a syncro and tuner deck.

anyway give it a look if you at all enjoyed any of the other yugioh serieses other wise give it a miss

there is a thread for this third time round dribble lol but there is not a thread for the anime that started all this GX 5D nonsense the one and only Yugioh, whether it be shadow games, capsule monsters or duel monsters Yami owns :)

Have you seen the anime??

The show actually follows the rules, Charecters actually die as oppsed to fainting, The main charecter isnt schitzophrenic and the games are actually engaging and interesting and link to the actual card game rather than some hypothetical childrens game

-shrugs- I'm not too inclined to watch it, though boredom might tantaslise me at some point. I think I'm biased mainly becuase of the Abridged Serries. Going on a huuuuuge Yu-Gi-Oh kick at the moment and really my 'favourite' of all of them is probably season 0. Old, obsure anime FTW. As far as I've watched, they've only played a children's card game once.

@lordbalmung: Yu-Gi-Oh is completely silly, it's a thin plot built around an advertisment for the game. Is why I love it 8D
