sure! if you can find some in the right colour. i'd suggest tights, but we decided to go with leggings/slightly shorter tops in the end.

Sounds like a plan! Seeing as I'm patterning the leggings for us, should I pattern them so they also function as socks, or will we wear socks and leggings as seperate entities? /probably overthinking things

they don't have them in the colours i need ;~; (bright orange/lime) i think i'll hold out for jess' pattern, but it may be an option for some people if they don't mind wearing tights with a shortish top.

Nylon dyes very well by the way :) If you find a colour close to what you want you can tone it up. Say use yellow and overdye with a touch of red :)

Being super pale I can never find dancers tights that look right, there's tanned and then there's Those Legs Don't Belong ;) So I use Dylon Predye/Dyegon to strip the colour out. It goes bight yellow then fades with exposure to light and air.

It does need heat, it dyes like wool and silk.

Just as an option for those with quirky colours :)

OK SLIGHT CHANGE OF PLAN i'm going to write up photo tutorials and post them on my wordpress for us to follow-- they'll have all the measurements etc. for the heads and there'll be sewing guidelines for the tops. since it's just a basic garment i was unsure whether a pattern will be necessary but i may try to find one on the internet for a base and then write up the tutorial as i know some people are relying on a pattern.

TRYING TO DO THIS THE LEAST CONVOLUTED WAY AS POSSIBLE ASLDKJDFGA

THEY WILL BE UP IN 3-4 DAYS.

Oookay, well thanks to a cosmode tutorial someone posted on /cgl/ halfway through patterning (FUUUUU-- time wasted screwing it up on my own!), I have a pattern for you guys. It's set at my measurements at the moment (102cm outside leg from waistband to tip of little toe, and 62cm wide at the top of the thigh). If you don't know how to modify it to your measurements, it's easier for me to do on Illustrator (that's the .ai file in the .zip download below) than it is for me to explain how to do it manually, so if you give me the following measurements I can churn out the pattern in your size for you in about 5 minutes.

(Please excuse the weird pose and unrealistic proportions of the diagram; it was the only one I could find that made it easy to show the 'to the tip of the little toe' thing, hahah)

EDIT: Okay, I also need the measurement from the top of the vertical red line to where the two red lines cross over. orz /has just finished hers but the crotch turned out pretty low.

In the instructions, I've crossed out the bits that aren't relevant to us - please note that the seam allowance is NOT included, but the tutorial does tell you what allowances to add where. :3
