It's not that bad. We won't really need to work on placement till the week we get together, and believe me that's gonna be the best part!!!

What's gonna take time, is us learning the dance individually (or in pairs, if you're lucky).

Shouldn't be too complicated all it really is a pair dancing in their own space imho make a clear tutorial have us learn from that then hold a prep before the actual ball.

Okay, explanation for Part 1: The Intro bit I've already posted:

First, let's say that the stage is North like on a compass. That way, when we refer to things, we can say West, East, South etc. This will come in handy later on. (And no I won't be using the clockface to determine location, I'll explain why, later).
Starting position: standing in pairs, in a *pose* looking away from each other. Try to be on different levels e.g. M standing tall, W leaning etc.
Caption by Caption:
Pause

Turn to face- Turn heads to look at one another and straighten up

Extend arm- W extend Left arm, M extend R arm straight up

Bow- both (even the W) bow to each other bringing extended arm down

M to inner circle extend right- M take 1-2 steps inwards, forming an inner circle but facing outwards and quickly extend R arm curved up in front and above their head. Head tilted back as if looking at their hand. Freeze for next 3 captions.

W spin to outer circle- W take a step out from the M, both arms down palms horizontal, and spin clockwise, before taking a step back to their partner (keeping the M to their Right hand side), placing their left hand on their hip.

extend right- *on the beat* W extend R hand curved up in front of them, nearly touching, but overlapping their partner's arm, head pops back at the same time.

Pause

M spins W (twice?)- M very loosely hold tips of their partner's fingers and help guide the spin.
W take step in towards their partner to start the spin in time with the first drumbeat.
Only If you are comfortable with your balance, then you could try spinning twice, but as the drumbeats are really close together, be sure that you've practised this a zilllion times with your partner, or have a lot of experience with spinning, because after the spin, you have to get into the closed position really quickly!!!

End position: Closed position, M facing NorthEast(N-E), W facing SouthWest (S-W)
ready for the 4-point Diamond.
