@Saboteur- Get Level10 to go as Prince (or "the artist formerly known as" for the lolz), then you guys can like, practice together heaps and do really well! Ofcourse I'll happily dance with you, if he's not too keen Auckland Ball Group- Kingdom Hearts ( Important update ) - Page 3 Icon_smile

. Though I could only meet to practice at ACB or the week before Geddon.

At the moment Im not so sure about being Beast... but I'll decide that once I start making my Auckland costumes.

I don't actually know the proper names of the steps, but I'm making up my own names. Is everyone pretty happy with the first vid I posted? You can see most of it, but if you want something explained, please ask.

The next vid I've made up based on the little bit you can see- and is gonna need some practise- I call it the "4 point diamond"!!!

I'll explain why I call it that, next post- but can anyone guess why?

Level10 doesn't want to make another costume D8 So he'll be in his headcrab costume again. I will be able to make him practice with me, though.

I will of course dance with any one (another princess, Tim, whatevs dude!), I'm just putting it out there I'm a bit of a klutz ;D

Hrmm, since winds actually lives in Auckland, it might be better if I pair up with her (CROSSOVER Very Happy

), and Tim pairs up with someone doing this in the South Island so you guys can actually have practice time together?

Also; HAH, he didn't even get a name? Wow, Disney. Maybe they were fresh out of ideas after the dwarves...

Ahem.
In a few copies of the Grimm tales (Probably edited or revised ones) Snow Whites Prince is "Prince Ferdinand".
I've only come across him referred to as Ferdinand twice, and I have a bit of a niche in Grimm. However, I've never read another name in tales for him, so.

Disney Princesses list, AFAIK;

Snow White had Prince Ferdinand
Cinderella had Prince Charming
Sleeping Beauty {Aurora} had Prince Phillip
The Little Mermaid Ariel had Prince Eric
Pocahontas had John Rolfe {her old suitor was John Smith}
Princess Mulan had General Li Chang
Princess Belle had Prince Adam {The Beast}
Princess Jasmine had Aladdin

Yeah, why couldn't he be the damsel-in-distress prince? Heaven knows we need more of them.

Then again, Snow White was a damsel in distress. They'd both woulda died early on if he'd been kidnapped.

Eric was a cutie-pie, being saved by Ariel looked good on his resume.

@Arbalest; I don't think there's much of a system in partnering past the usual 'your character is in my one's fandom' or 'our characters would look adorable together'.

And you prolly don't need to have danced before. Just find a buddy in your area who is willing to practice with you and stare at the videos for hours on end. That's how I learn most of my dances.

There is heaps of people still single and sure one of them would love a dance partner ;3 check the main list and see who's free and sure that they would be welcome to dance with you. (:

Partners are choosen by suggesting a cosplay dance idea and the second person agreeing~ no lucky draw, best dancers, nothing like that.. [:

The thing I'm most worried about in the dance are the group bits...it's going to be hard to learn where to go and stuff if we're not practicing with the whole group. Any ideas how we're going to do this?

Yeah, we definitly should at least spend half an hour figuring out things as a group, otherwise we'll all look like cows grazing in our own bit of paddock.

Wonder if a group learns the dance, and then videos tapes the dance and puts how to the dance on youtube so everybody in the group learns the same dance ??

I know 2 people going as Jasmine, so if one backs out, you still have the other XD Both are my friends [Shamila and Sophia/Starfire in Titans group] so i'll prolly teach both of them the dance so dw C: If both are in well, you guys could do a triplets morph dance? XD And if both back out.. You could always grab someone random from the crowd/the friend who helped you practice C:
