Ahaha I've gone backwards in progress on my Altair. I've decided to redo the undertop (which was the only thing I had made) so that it doesn't have shoulder sleeve seams.

Have nearly finished sewing my Youmu Konpaku waistcoat together~

Made the base for Sakura's headpiece.
...I hate waiting for clay to dry. Have to wait at least a day before I can do any more on it OTL

So I got off my lazy butt and did some propwork today 8D

So today I worked on the base for Aya's wings

Then I papermache'd Elaine's weapons and painted them... took me a while to keep painting on new layers so that the news paper wouldn't show 8'D

Okay, so... cosplay for next year pretty much chosen. It looks kinda difficult but at the same time kind of... not? Anyway, just bought a 1.5m(?) 6.5mm dowel rod from Gordon Harris for the baton prop... this is going to be fun.

@Mischa that is so cute, and I agree with Li-Bai you have a sadistic streak a mile wide to easily destroy that lovely piece of work.

I have shopped and I have all the bits I need to do my Steampunk Zatanna. Just overlocked all the raw edges of the fabric.

Will also be doing some hemming for M.

@li-bai: Ah! I was just looking at the game cover for that today and was talking about how cool the costume designs are~~ @.@

It has begun, ~~my fall into the abyss...~~ work on the most evil costume I've decided upon LOL I brought about 15m of fabric today, (they ran out on both rolls 2m less than what I needed!) it's white and it's weight made my wrist and arms pretty sore from carrying it around today..

Today I tested out my cosplay at a birthday party - unfortunately my wig hasn't been completed yet so I had to buy a cheap and nasty one in the mean time.
It was quite successful! The interfacing (which I used to put on the symbols on the coat) managed to stay on - but the edges of some were curling off. I swear I have ironed it about 50 times - but I guess I may have to just use some sort of fabric glue or something to make it stay put.
Being paranoid about that made the coat slightly awkward to wear - but everything else was awesome. Infact, it was so comfy that I walked back home (yes, out in Dunedin) to my flat in the shinigami clothes.

Funnily enough, I bumped into a guy who was wearing Cloud's outfit (AC version). We were both very surprised and excited at recognising each other. Made me feel awesome. :3

Need to remake the white belt though - that was an epic 2-second job used with staples because I had no time to sew it! xD

I finished unpicking my Silk Spectre Corset, now to trace and remake them for Azkadellia's Corset...I plan to have pictures of a Completed Corset, minus Boning and Bias, up tonight Very Happy

ok.. I've cut out the base of the pope's cloak & gown thingy. So far it's taking 8m instead of estimated 14m *FACEPALM* ~~atleast the fabric was on sale! 8DD~~

(NEED Gold trimming! Why is NZ's range so pitiful?!? D: )

I've got quite a bit of the tassel stuff left over too, but it's the style of trimmings that I can't track down D: (I think I'll have to end up making it..)
