Dude you need some kind of ID that says you're a CNZ/SPCC photographer,
maybe wearing your SPCC membership card and those little badges would help.

BTW do we have pics of said Star Trek guy and Avatar guy?
Just in case they decide to stalk me... or one of my friends this year.

Also, it might be good to re-animate a "safety at cons" advice thread prior to the geddons.

. . A FEW TIMES I took mugshots from the floor above only because I was too lazy to chase the cosplayer about. Okay, admittedly my friend and I followed said cosplayer around a but because we were shy.

I tend to find it's the randoms outside who aren't attending the convention who follow about and take a creepy interest in the costume.

At Auckgeddon I followed a girl cosplaying Poison Ivy for a bit, trying to work up the courage to ask for a photo but never did sweatdrop

I don't have a stalker that followed me around at cons, but I have a creepy stalker guy that creeps me out and stuffs at school.
Worse thing is, he got on the same bus as I did this morning, and it was oh, so terrible. I couldn't relax for the whole journey even though I was sitting a few fair spaces behind him. ._.

I think I got introduced to JP, or I asked if he was on the forums or something. :) So no, unfortunately I can't join the "I though JP was a stalker boat". XD

J.P has never given me creep vibes- I think it's because he looks sort of official and never does anything remotely sleazy.

Star Trek guy left me completely alone after Sunday morning..turns out my sweet baby sister told him to physics off.

I never thought Jp was a stalker, actually I thought he was Armageddon's official photographer since he came off as seeming somewhat professional. Wasn't till much later when I realised otherwise, although he is more or less Armageddon's official cosplay photographer now that he does it for the contest judging.

My anime club friends that go to Chchgeddon with me that aren't cosplayers on the other hand, do think he is one, so I correct them when needed.

On the topic of Star Trek guy:

That photo was a result of me just trying to take a photo of Mischa's Pyramid Head costume but he was just standing there next to her in my shot seeming kinda oblivious of my existence. I could crop him out of the photo, but I think it could also help that we have a decent photo reference of the guy to look out for him if he continues to pop up being creepy.

As for me, I tend to spend a lot of time wandering the crowds to take photos of every cosplayer I can find, I don't tend to stalk any specific group, though a lot of the time I track down my friends and just hang out.

Oh, I was stalked by a Vincent Valentine cosplayer last ChChgeddon. xD Seriously, I'm at one end of the con, I turn around, he's behind me gawking at me from a distance. I think, "Oh yeah, that's fine, whatever, maybe he likes my costume." (I was cosplaying FFX Yuna).
I walk to the other end of the con, I turn around, he's behind me again. I find it mildly amusing, but shrug it off as coincidence. Third time? NOT COINCIDENCE. xD
That happened several more times, by which stage I found it hilarious. He never even came up and asked for a photo or anything. =A=;

No, but at chch geddon today there was a Rikku Final Fantasy X-2 cosplayer and she said that there were guys staring at her and wanting her attention, kind of shurged it off thinking it was normal behavior ( guys like a attractive, girl ) but then saw her half- a- hour later looking awkward and folding her arms hiding most of her cosplay and she looked really uncomfortable.

ergh, should of asked her if she was okay.. is in regret now.. >-<'';

Do you think we should report Star Trek guy to Bill or something on the main Armageddon forums ??

Well the Christchurch Cosplay Club has an official event every month, and many people organize extra gatherings as well.
So check the CCC section and CSI sections.

^This. Despite the fact that I could probably recognise all the old regulars on here I haven't actually met that many of them XD
I think the only ones I talked to are the Wellingtonions, and IcyRose briefly two years ago XDD
Oh and Rowan and some Palmy North people <3
