Xam'd: Lost Memories By Pyro. 06/03/10, 12:44 pm |
| Anyone else watch this/love this? Please tell me I'm not alone. D= Akiyuki is total badass and I love Raigyo's funky fish-y Xam'd form. Haru and Nakiami are both strangely likeable female leads. D= Honestly, I don't think there's anyone in the cast I genuinely dislike (except maybe the crazy guy in the wheelchair-- can't remember his name right now but whatever). ... I want to cosplay Akiyuki's Xam'd form. ;_; Doot-doot-doot anything more to add? Nope? RUN AWAY RUN AWAY RUN AWAY RUN AWAY =D |

| I enjoyed it, especially Bones doing the animation but yeah, the epilogue kind of ruined it for me. Although I disliked Furuichi, he's such a cliche, most of the characters were quite good. |

| The epilogue ruined some of it for me, too. I mean, it killed the sacrifices that Akiyuki and Nakiami made, seeing those last two minutes.
- Spoiler:
That said, I think I would've been disappointed no matter what they did with Akiyuki at the end. If they let him go home without any trouble, it would've been too bland and it would've betrayed some of the established problems of being a Xam'd. If he'd died for real, it would've made the series feel pointless-- he'd have gone through everything just to die, alone and unable to see his friends and family again. But then you've got the ending they did choose, with him coming back after those nine years, and it's like... they trivialized his sacrifice, but it would've been either too stupid or too painful to see it end any other way.
On the other hand though... WHY did they make Hinokimaru grow up to be a Raigyo clone? Dx I saw no reason for that to happen. I liked how Yango looked in the epilogue, though. =D

Will watch it in holidays. |
