Where can I find a cheap wig?

Hi, I'm looking for a cheap wig and I am stuck in Christchurch. Can anyone help? Please?

First we need to know a few things
1) What is your price range?
2) How long is the hair?
3) Colour? Just so we know if it's some outlandish shade of purple...

There's a thread all about it in the Christchurch section. Chances are you won't find anything quality for cheap, and you probably won't find exactly what you want.
But I'd recommend the store across from Spotlight in the Sydenham Mall. It has a good range, and they are reasonably thick, from memory.

Cool, thanks. I'm looking for a medium sized dark blue wig. Hopefully going to chchgeddon as kisame from naruto.

hmmmmmm you may find it hard to get a wig that colour
what you can do is get a lighter blue or a white wig and sharpie it (ie get the right coloured perminant marker and colour in the wig) it'll take awhile but if you want the right colour that'll what you'll need to do sorry ^_^;

you can buy a white wig like that and break open some sharpies and mix them with some turps, put that into a spray bottle and spray the wig. leave it to dry for about 6 hours, wash and repeat until you get the desired color. Hope this helps.

Not turps - 70% Isopropyl alcohol. C: I haven't tested it myself, but I suspect it's not wise to use turpentine on a wig.

Tails dyed her wig using it last week and it turned out fine.... But melted her wighead's face off.

Isn't alcohol expensive?

Has she washed the wig since, and is the dye colourfast? I ask just because I'm curious. Isopropyl alcohol is expensive if you buy it from the chemist, but it's cheaper if you buy it from hardware stores.

Trademe sometimes has amazing quality wigs for cheap.

Of course it's hard to find strange colours because trademe is gat, so I buy a blonde wig and dye. I find this is actually a nicer route to take as you can control the exact colouring. C: Kanekalon are sexy. I just bought one from there for $15
