meiko is sitting at like 85% now :3 i worked my butt off handsewing 4 layers of leathery pvc together/

Finished the latest layer of Claire's skirts! Wahey! I also managed to procure some sodium alginate and urea, and have now re-dyed the lace pieces for Ivy's train. In about 36 hours (I'm supposed to leave it for 24, buuuuut....just to be safe!) I can rinse them, and hopefully they'll be the colour I want.

Next job - dye some pink stuff red, and while I wait for customer approval, do a sugar honey iced tea of handsewing. *falls over*

Finished the base of my nightcap.... missing the red ribbon. :)
Altered pattern to fit my size... the bodice and sleeve wasn't long enough. Pinning pattern pieces onto fabric, I cut out the back bodice already.
Pinning and cutting out front bodice now...

...why do all the cosplays I choose have white as a main colour?!?!? gonk

I have almost all of my Astal fabric, and I have the undershirt all cut out (except for where I ran out of fabric, need to buy another meter :C)

Dark grey nylon for the pants of Juto, crazy orange stuff for the split in Juto's shirt and pant... harness things. Uhhh... black PVC for details on Shinjiro. And gold stuff for Laharl's belt thing. 8D THE GOLD STUFF IS CURTAIN FABRIC. 8D

Finished sewing wefts into my Yugi wig. Have made one attempt to style it, which failed, so I've washed all the hairspray out so I can try again.

I have just done the top layer of Ivy's foot armour and belt thing! The foot bits are drying awaiting sanding, and the belt thing needs to dry so I can do the other side. Polyfilla = love! Having never used paperclay I don't know which is superior, but hey - this was cheaper Very Happy

So close to finishing meiko! one side of the zip to be sewn on, then the other zip to be sewn into the skirt and a button added and it's DONE! I'm so so so so Proud of it. :3

Sleeves and bodice are CUT OUT!!!! I gotta decide whether to make the neckline able to stand in as a dress by itself (for non-cosplay situations), or just have it as a round neck.
Then, I'll need to buy a zip and a bit of lace first before I can do any work on the rest of the bodice...
I need to measure and cut out the bottom layers of the skirt tomorrow. Also need to get started on a petticoat. :3
Need to buy some red ribbon... and wire...

Might as well work out how the bib works and get the rest of my supplies at the same time... Fabric paint is expensive ;_; is there another way to get the patterns on the bib on without using a tiny bit of one fabric paint colour? I already have black but... gonk

Rolly - I know you can get a type of medium from places like spotlight that can be mixed with regular acrylic paint to make it fabric paint. Is that what you're after? That is if you already have the colour paint you need.

Lol does it look okay? Need to add other side of zip to the jacket, and add a zip to the side of the skirt and it's done. I have enough fabric for gloves... So I'm debating it atm XD

also;; Should I add darts to the front of the jacket? 8D

@rowan; ffff lies, i'm not. 8( it's... a lot of things... the designs are fabric paint, the accessories are craft foam that's been gesso'd/paint'd/varnished, the orange jewels are sculpey, the wire is gold mesh chain, there's also some pearl trim and marabou feathers on there... and i've used like 6 different types of glue so far. B|

I've officially started Len today~ would've started yesterday, but I had to change the entire design because my Rin picked different fabrics (though for the better~~)
I've cut out most of the pieces on fabric and sewn base parts together~
